Sorry, but I just can't stop thinking about Aussie pop-punkers 28 Days. I'm not proud, but when I slipped this disc into my stereo I was sure I was gonna hear some guy's pathetic attempt at a rap over some equally annoying geetarz and deckz. Initially I was disappointed. Initially...
Liverpool's 28 Costumes aren't a thing like their similarly monikered Southern Hemisphere cousins. That said, they are like a lot of this country's indie-rock outfits, with this release at least. '21 Years' does the quiet... still quiet... still quiet... BIG BASTARD CHORUS thing very well. That's very well. Thing is, so do a squillion other songs. Ah well, it's still grand, and worth exchanging a couple of measly quid for, easily. Oh, it's limited editon too, you collector freaks.
Be better with deckz, mind. Maybe something to consider for next time, you multi-clothed oddballs.

One of the best bands round Liverpool at the moment. Remind me of the later Wedding Present records. -
28 Costumes - 21 Years
Yes yes yes this band are top, saw them in Liverpool last year and blew me away a wee bit... are they still wearing the dirty suits stage get up? They're like rocknroll but the anti-ponce-garage-rock-revival-rocknroll, lyrics like 'and no one should pay that much for a haircut' are great... they seem dead down to earth guys as well. In fact, SHEFFIELD people can catch em on October 12th at our 'Stranger Than Fiction' club night @ the Casbah with one of Sheffield's finest, Rumpus! -

Nah, I love this band. Further proof that Liverpool is still better than everywhere else. -
28 Costumes - 21 Years
One of my faves at the mo, lucky to live in liverpool right now - get to see them about. Heard at last gig they've got an album coming some time in october. my 2 choice songs are trans-siberian and inside outside. honestly check em out if they play near you. -
