  • Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCK

So I'm going to have to sit bored through Boxer Rebellion AND X Is Loaded?

I'm starting to wish I lived up North. Much better supports (Oceansize, Drive Like You Stole It, Reuben...).
    • Re: Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCK

seconded. boxer rebellion aren't satanically bad, but the aforementioned bands in brackets could all do gigs of their won that i would pay to see maybe mroe than biffy.
    • Re: Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCK

Ive never understood the appeal of Biffy Clyro. But I quite like the Boxer Rebellion.

The Boxer Rebellion are totally pointless, middle of the road indie nonsense. why they are touring with Biffy who are amazing is beyond me. ...Oceansize, Reuben...much better and in keeping with Biffys fanbase who will loathe The Boxer Rebellion (if they have any sense anyway)

yay i have the limited edition singles, money for me on ebay :).
    reuben arent better than tbr.

I've never really 'got' Biffy, you know? I've listened to one of their albums at a friend's (I can't remember which album it was) and I was completely apathetic about them.
    • Re: Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCKtober!

I'm amazed Biffy haven't been dropped by now. They've been around forever and nobody seems to like them.
      • Re: Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on

You simply posted that to get a reaction, didn't you?

Well, you succeeded. I don't really need to tell you about this band's huge not-so-underground-anymore following, do i?

Biffy's first album was a bit emo, really... although there was always something a bit special lurking in there that made them stand out. The second album took them further - they developed their own sound, and by that i don't mean they sound monotonous and like something that was done better decades ago like most of the godawful press-sponsored wank that does the rounds on mtv2 these days. Most of their songs have more twists and turns than an entire libertines album, yet still manage to be memorable and enjoyable to listen to... BC are one of the only bands around that are actually musically exciting to me. Although I wasn't overly impressed with 'Glitter & Trauma', the rest of the new stuff sounds pretty phenomenal - The new album is going to destroy anyone who bothers to open their ears.

I've not heard anything by Boxer Rebellion, although what i've heard of X is Loaded so far seems a bit bland... I shall see if they're any better live. Can't wait for the tour.
    • Re: Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCKtober!

go watch them live, then you will understand
      • Re: Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCKtober!

        that comment was for cavier
  • Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCKtober!

Reuben are absoultely fantastic, especially live, as are Oceansize. And biffy, well you can't really put there live performance into words can you....
  • Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCKtober!

i feel ive now achieved biffy saturation, i will wait for the inevitable november tour to see them again.
  • Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCKtober!

x is loaded are a bit rubbish on cd, but live they are bloody good...
  • Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCK

Obviously if no one liked Biffy they wouldn't be selling loads of records and selling out tours all the time, now would they?

'My Recovery Invention' is immense, but I s'pose most of you knew that already.
  • Biffy Clyro New Album

I just put on Infinity Land. I suppose it's more obvious why people like them. It will be put in the car for the drive today.
  • Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCKtober!

Right, I'm confused - are X is Loaded the second support act on the Biffy Tour? Or is it just Boxer Rebellion and "someone else"??
  • Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCKtober!

At Norwich Waterfront on the 20th The brigade supported them they were all right does anyone know much about them, are they supporting biffy on any other dates?
  • Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCKtober!

Im seeing Biffy at the Electric Ballroom this Thursday! It would have been good If Reuben were supporting there as well! Darn! Can't win 'em all. There my two favourite bands at the moment!
  • Biffy Clyro and The Boxer Rebellion bring on ROCKtober!

i had the misfortune to see these live when they supported hundred reasons (i know, why? incidently HR were shit) and i could not understand why people were going mental for them. I suppose, yeah, there good at what they do. Im not sure exactly what that is as such, but there music doesn't appeal to me, it seems liek there trying far to hard to makre quirky-rock and they should just stop and go away. (Incidently, Senses Fail were the best band when i saw HR and they only played for half and hour.)
