It’s been two long years since the raging maelstrom of electi-core noise that was ‘We Sing The Body Electric’, Since By Man’s debut, and it’s clear the hyperactivity fuelling these 5 Wisconsins has quelled very little in that time. Laying to waste the contrived pollutants scavenging among the current metal-core scene, _‘A Love Hate Relationship’ _is a heart-racing excursion through the love, joy, pain and anguish of life in a touring band. A kind of psychological battle in a physically destructive and mentally draining world where the stage reins supreme.

Not that any of that matters when it flies through you like a relentless hailstorm of bullets. Every bit as vicious as their debut this positively bleeds with a joyous, cathartic squall, a red hot pot of angst, sweat, noise and ankle-grinding danceability interspersed with some explorative Godspeed-esque passages. Yep, _Godspeed _and Yes, this is metal-core you can actually _dance _to, the kind of hip-thrusting stuff that makes you wanna swing from the rafters in a floor-stomping, glass-smashing bar brawl of a boogy. Intriguingly, remnants of Drowningman’s melodic dissonance grate against the brilliantly-named _‘Who Would I Be Without My Middle Finger’ _whilst also gritted with enough raw emotion to rip your heart right out. It’s a punch made all the more brutal by Death By Stereo’s Paul Miner’s faultless production talents and all the more effective given the wide-ranging dynamics in play.

But after 14 minutes they’ve been and gone. Ripped out your heart and left your body spasming to the echoes of the last dance of your life. BUY, fools.
