Joan As Police Woman: Eternal Flame
by Rob WebbNope, thankfully not a rehash of the Bangles' finest hour (nor Atomic Kitten's risible cover) but an original song from this talented songstress.
Having worked with Antony & The Johnsons and Rufus Wainwright in the past, you'd expect Joan Wasser, aka As Policewoman, to be able to sing. She doesn't disappoint.
Though her range won't trouble fellow New Yorker Regina Spektor, Wasser plays a more soulful, laid-back game that has more in common with divas from a bygone age. It might just lend her slightly more crossover appeal, too, if this slickly produced number is anything to go by.

Fact.
Amazing what you can find out when you engage someone in banter at a gig.

She was amazing
