Xavier Floyd Firebird: Boss Man, You Scare Me...
Southampton-based trio Xavier Floyd Firebird don’t half know how to write catchy hooks. So catchy, in fact, you’ll be cursing them for the rest of the week following a single listen to this, their debut release.
Clocking in at under three minutes, this riotous number has formed the centrepiece of their live set over the past few months. Sounding like the bonus track from Graham Coxon’s ‘Happiness In Magazines’, the song is built around a heavily repeated chorus, growing in intensity throughout with simplistic, but oh-so-effective backing vocals.
It ends before you’ve had a chance to digest fully the splendour of the pop song that’s just steamrollered through your headphones. Now, if only I could shake that tune - a quick listen to 'Woo Hoo' should do the trick...

Isn't that those twats from the 'Long Live Rock And Roll' nights at Lennons? #hurls still-warm bottle of piss at their general direction# to reiterate, shite.
Oh, and for when it eventually comes, Hi Ally -

hello mooseman, its ally.
Yep im one of those 'twats' from the 'shite' long live rock and roll nights at lennons. Im afraid the band aren't, they just happen to be signed to my label and go to the night in Southampton. Feel free to 'throw a bottle of warm piss' at them to due to the connection. No doubt they will look forward to it as much as me.
Thanks for the constructive comments of my night, I will endeavor to make changes to accommodate your thoughts.-

Ok, so i'm not a fan of theirs, apologies to you Ally, maybe that was a touch harsh, but i am entitled to my views on both you and your band. admittedly, this may not be the best forum, as you pointed out when we spoke earlier, but that's the nature of life - not everyone is going to kiss your ass.
#puts bottle of piss to the back of the cupboard for whenever Babyshambles make it down these parts#
