Enablers tour; intensity expected

Quite, quite brilliant spoken-word rock quartet Enablers return to the UK in late May, following a series of continental dates. The band's last album End Note was released through Neurot and won over critics far and wide with its intense mix of powerful riffs and poetic words. Imagine the linguistic might of Saul Williams backed by Shellac. DiS says: DO NOT MISS. (Some venues TBC, check the Neurot website for details.)
May
30 Swindon TBC (with Oxbow)
31 Derby Victoria Inn
June
1 Liverpool TBC
2 Exeter Cavern
3 London Barden's Boudoir, Stoke Newington
4 Manchester TBC (with Acid Mother's Temple)
5 Brighton Freebutt

Don't know these chaps, anyone recommend them?-
Re: Enablers tour; intensity expected
Yes, me.
And if Rachel Silver Rocket stumbles across this article, she will too.
As will anyone with a love of Slint, Shellac, Saul and other bands starting with 'S'.
They are AMAZING live... really. One of the most impressive bands I've ever seen. One of my top five gigs of last year, easy.-
Re: Enablers tour; intensity expected
Hello yes here I am.
Have to say I'm gutted they are playing somewhere else on the same night as our club though.-
Re: Enablers tour; intensity expected
Yes that DOES suck.
And, also, isn't next C&P 21st May?
Clashes with Mono and Decibully over at the Garage! -
Re: Enablers tour; intensity expected
Rachel, Thanks for your interest in Enablers. Tough that we're clashing with your night as it would be cool to meet you and have you see us live. Would you be willing to give me your e-mail so I can post you directly next fall when we come to the UK again to promote our second record...output negative space...we will be selling a four song teaser of that record on this upcoming tour May/June.....Kevin

Manchester with Acrid Mothers Tentpoles too!
I cannot wait. For some reason the Enablers guy also sends me the press releases. I only talked to him at the end of the show. The only way he could have got my email address was through telepathy.
I cannot recommend going to see them enough. I took two people who hadn't been to a gig in years and they were blown away. -

Re: Enablers tour; intensity expected
Forgive my stupidity, but where, exactly, is Barden's?
Don't just say Stoke Newington!-
Re: Enablers tour; intensity expected
Mike, That's a friggin damn good question. Not only where the hell is "Bardens Budoir" but, what exactly is it? Reply to me anytime <kevin@demonmotors.com>-
