Every now and again, a minor revolution on the 'scene' takes place in London and everyone gets excited. White Heat, the Tuesday night club held at Madame JoJo's in Soho is where the current buzz is centred and to celebrate two years of top-notch indie disco and live performances, they're putting on a mother of an all-dayer.The current line-up is a virtual who's-who of exciting new music and will make for the best eleven-hour drinking session DiS could have fathomed for a long time. So, here goes:

whats pretentious supposed to mean? its scenester packed, yes, and there seems to be unquantifiable amounts of coke in the collective bloodstream,, but its still one of the best atmosheres for dancing i';ve found at an indie club in london. the floors constantly pretty packed and they play some fucking good classic stuff (playing dead kennedies at an indie night is hhardly pretentious), along side all the most dancable current stuff.
the rooms a bit claustrophobic though.
am pretty damn pissed i cant make this.-

I see your point. There are lots of tossers there, but the guy who runs it is probably the least pretentious man on the planet by all accounts. Plus the bands are usually pretty top-notch.-

Yeah, the fact they get good bands on winds me up because I really hate going there ;)
Still, I imagine it'll be slightly less full of tossers now that most of the student population has fucked off home for the summer..

and they play anything from Sonic Youth to new bands like Vincent Vincent and the Villians and Les Incompetents.
I really like it.
And I dont know anyone there that does coke nor have noticed it.
There was however last week Suicide Girls doing shots for Bizarre magazine which was a little odd.
