1 The Beatles - A Day In The Life
2 The Kinks - Waterloo Sunset
3 Oasis - Wonderwall
4 Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen
5 Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
6 The Who - My Generation
7 Robbie Williams - Angels
8 David Bowie - Life on Mars?
9 Rolling Stones - Sympathy For The Devil
10 Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy
The full list of 50 songs appears in the current issue, with Franz Ferdinand on the cover, no less.

This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'

apart from mega-star cock sucking and regurgetating patehtically boring beatles / oasis / nirvana trivia, of course -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
A Day in the Life has been my favourite beatles song for a long time.
Are you waiting for Art rocker's "top 50 obscure songs that wouldn't be on the list if you had heard of them"?
What should be number one, sour pusses? -

Boring Boring F***** Boring.
Who are these experts?
The editor's dad and nan?
They don't want to let go of the past do they? Or they just keep re-hashing the same articles and features they've used for the past 20 years, making their lives easier and giving them more time to drink red wine and watch the cricket.
Next week Nme's Top Poll, including 1) The Kaiser Chiefs 2) The Kaiser Chiefs 3) The Kaiser Chiefs etc etc.
I've heard that NME is actually the same as Smash Hit's they just stick a different cover on top, they also use find and replace in word, finding McFly and replacing it with Pete Doherty. -

Haha exactly keiths_tele, OMGZ ITS 2 MAINSTREEM.
I ask the cockmonkeys of DiS, what should be top? -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
It is what it is. That is, something that covers the 'centre' - it's not doing the leftfield stuff, nor is it exactly an outlet for the latest boybands. The actual journalism... that is, the writing within individual articles... is not bad.
But the editorial direction has led the magazine as a whole down the pan this last few years. The previous editor resigned in protest when he saw what would be forced on him. -
Re: This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
Next month Q have got a Top 100 'Top 100s featured in Q magazine' list.
It's less than 6 moths since they did a Top 50 British Bands , now they've got the top 50 songs? Why the hell is it still running, they've obviously totally run out of ideas. -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
Q don't pretend to be anything other than a mainstream pop/rock mag.
Some of their interviews and articles are good.
Sorry for all of you who were expecting Rusted Guns of Milan or something in the top 10....
hahaha -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'

1. David Gray - Some dreary tripe
2. James Clunt - Some dreary tripe
3. Damien Rice - Some dreary tripe
4. Jack Johnson - Some dreary tripe
5. Jammie Cuntlam - Some dreary tripe
6. Snorah Jones - Some dreary tripe
7. Katie Meh-lua - Some dreary tripe
8. KT Turnstile - Some dreary tripe
9. Alanis Morissette - Some dreary tripe about irony that ironically isn't ironic.
10. Robbie Willams - Some ear raping shit heap pile of wank bollocks. -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
Unfinished Sympathy always seems to do well in this sort of thing, despite it being utter UTTER shit!
Seriously -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
i actually like The Beatles. Guess they're not quite as cool to list as say Bloc Party or some obscure side project of mike patton though if you're a hipster.

Re: This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best
Well it's not even the best song by Massive Attack... -
Re: This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
Hahahahaha
Robbie Williams - Angels
Possibly one of my most hated songs, followed by that fucking Crazy song by Katie Melua thats used on those sofa adverts. -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
I hate that Katie Melua song, have to turn over when it comes on. arghhhh hate it.
Most magazine journalists are lazy, they wait for the most obvious shit to fall in their laps and then they drain it to death.
They also take bribes. -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
'experts', laughing my fucking ass off. what the fuck does that mean ? an expert on having an opinion about music? is it that revered now? should i be receiving payments when i bang on about Radiohead down the pub? -
Re: This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'

This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
Damn, does anybody remember when Q used to be good?
Like when they got Sophie B Hawkins to strip off and pose naked leaning over a bath for no apparent reason?
Ahhh, those were the days...
And am I the only person in the world to HATE Unfinished Sympathy? It's SOOOOOOOOO boring...

Oh so it IS just me then?...
Ho hum... -
Re: This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best
Katie Melua has one thing going for her, and that's she's fucking gorgeous. Doesn't make up for the fact she's god-awful. -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best Bri
can't believe they didn't put any controversal ones in...oh wait...i can actually. -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best Bri
eh it's Q. Decen't list for them. I'm astonished Bohemian fucking rhapsody wasn't number one -
Re: This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best
Biffy Clyro
Godspeed

This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
Life on Mars, A Day in the Life, My Generation, Waterloo Sunset.
It could've been a lot fucking worse. -
Re: This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best
it is pretty fuckin over-rated and whomever said it was a token in the top 10 was probably right.
anyway, 'sunny afternoon' is better than 'waterloo sunset'. -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best Bri
Is it true that Q is now edited by Jimmy Carr? -
Re: This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
are you fucking deaf sunshine? -
Re: This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
The current editor used to work for Loaded, for god's sake. That's the Q mentality these days - glad to hear the other guy resigned. On the Q TV channel they have shows like 'FHM Presents Chart Hotties'. Awful, awful, awful. It's become a lad-infested wank mag for big sale/no talent dullards where women aren't allowed unless they're willing to show off their big tanned boobs. Depressing -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best Bri
i'm much more interested in seeing how this list (the Blender one mentioned) comes out.....
Bombs Over Baghdad number 2!!! haha, that's more like it! though if that's owt to go by I can imagine parts of it making Virgin/Xfm-listening Q readers weep, but that's a good thing..... -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
it comes in two "collectible" covers this month, which is always a huge pile of shitty bollocks - who cares whether the ugly men on the front are young or old? at least Uncut changes the cover cd if it tries such a trick.
I still buy it from time to time, but the lists and Athelete worshipping make me wonder why i bother, however good the writing... -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best Bri
I like 'A Day In The Life'. And The Beatles in general. OMGZ I'M SO NOT COOL. -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best Bri
ten bucks says the guardian now writes an article on how there are no women in said top ten. -
Re: This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best
Day in the Life is my fave too. I weep. -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
The top two are just plain right. -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
I bet they were really upset that they'd made a list they couldn't put U2 in. -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
The one good thing about this list?
*breaks into song*
"Imagine there's no Lennon
It isn't hard to do!
No hippie 'leftist' claptrap
No cheesy pop tunes too..." -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best British Song'
Q put Beatles, Pistols, Oasis and Robbie Williams in a top ten list. Shock of the century. What a waste of paper. -
This month's Q list: Beatles top poll of 'Best Bri
Why has no one mentioned that the writing in Q is also utter tripe? The cover articles used to be about 15 pages long with a decent insight into the band. Now they're just fluff pieces with a lot of stylish photos. The review section is also gone down the shitter-which used to be the magazine's saving grace.
Also, a look into the magazine shows they're taking votes for best album ever. Again. Well it has been two years. -
Merseyside Pride
They gave us scousers a bit of cultuire back in the day, and its definatly something that theyre still respected for it all these years on. However, liverpool and its typical scally/chav inhabitants have somewhat reduced our culture levels to almost zero again. F*CK KNOWS HOW we got the European Capital of culture! Then again, we were up against some pretty scatty cities in the UK, BUT ANYWAYS! Yeah, the Beatles Rock!
