WIN! Pavement Wowee Zowee albums!
Posted: 04 Dec '06, 15:44
This week Domino - the label you may know from their recent-ish successes with Franz Ferdinand and those Sheffield Monkey boys - re-release Pavement's 1995 Wowee Zowee, albeit with loads of extra bits 'n' bobs. They're calling it the Sordid Sentinels Edition, and we've THREE copies to give away.
The album - pictured - features 18 previously unreleased songs from the time of Wowee Zowee, and includes a total of 32 songs not on the original 1995 release. Outtakes, b-sides, etc. You know the drill.
So, wanna win a copy? C'mon, it's Christmas - even if you're more into Linkin Park, you can give it to a cooler elder sibling as a present. Yeah? Yeah. Just answer this...
Pavements are common across Britain, and are usually found beside roads. But what do silly Americans refer to these useful walkways as?
A) Sidestrolls?
B) Sidewalks?
C) Sidecrawls?
Just send your answer, along with an address (so we can post you your prize!), to mike DOT diver AT drownedinsound DOT com just as soon as you bloody well can. Be sure to write 'Pavement competition' in the subject line or else your entry will be IGNORED. Totally.
Good luck? Yeah, okay.

Youre subject title is boring
Youre other subject titles are fun. This is not.

What a band!
The best band ever? I'm going to say yes because saying no would be wrong.

Technically
it was re-released 4 weeks ago. Still, amazing record. The Pacific Trim EP & various b-sides included here are ace. The second disc is quite fun too.

When I got
Slow Century, I thought Painted Soldiers was a great video but a pretty crappy song. Without the video distracting me, I really love it.
