Jarvis: Pulp reunion would be pointless
Posted: 09 Mar '07, 15:33
Jarvis Cocker has dismissed out of hand reports of an imminent Pulp reunion.
The rumours began to circulate after bassist Steve Mackay, guitarist Richard Hawley and keyboard player Candida Doyle joined Cocker at one of his solo shows last year. But despite recent word of a duet with The Gossip's Beth Ditto, it would seem that thankfully we haven't lost Cocker to sentimentality just yet.
"Hell would have to freeze over first! No, I don't know. The members of the group are all in touch with each other and all friendly, there have been no deaths that I know of.
"So there is no barrier other than the fact that at the moment I can't really see a point," Cocker continued. "If it was to seem like the right thing to do then there's no reason why not, but I am certainly not planning it at the moment."

Of course there'd be a point!
In that it would be SIMPLY FANTASTIC.

interview?
Where did this come from? Would love to read the whole thing!

Jarvis fucking Mozza??
"Hell would have to freeze over first! No, I don't know. The members of the group are all fucking each other and there have been no deaths that I know of.
"So there is no barrier at the moment I can't really see a pint," Cocker continued. "If it was to seem like the right thing to do then there's no reason why not, but I am certainly not planning on fucking Morrissey at the moment."
Smart man....

It would be shit
cos it would be Pulp

I
realised I was being MUCH too harsh.
I have liked a few Pulp songs.

I love
pulp so much, that'd be so great!

...
It would be pointless because then Cocker would take less of a cut of any profits. This way he gets to run around with a band that look and sound as faceless and bland as the old Pulp, but only has to pay them the going rate for the average session musician.

Cynical
and yet, you've made me moist.
