Artists: NeatPeople

Utterly joyous indiepop lovelies NeatPeople in 'releasing utterly joyous indiepop single' SHOCKER! Overused phrases such as "infectious" and "toe-tapping" spring to mind.

The single in question, the follow-up to the magnificent 'Baby I'm Bored', is entitled 'Carry You Upward' and available on 7"/download (note the "/" - downloading 7"s just isn't possible yet, sorry) on 23rd April via tip top talent trackers Rekabet Records.

As is the wont of so many bands, they're promoting the single by playing a heckbunch of London dates. These ones, in these venues. You should probably go to one or two. Maybe three. If you like indiepop. And if you didn't, I doubt you'd have read this far. Unless you just really like my style or writing, which, to be fair, isn't likely.

I really, really

like these guys but surely 13 gigs in one city in two months is overdoing it slightly?

Carry You Upward is a fine single choice though. Great tune.

I love this band

13 gigs not enough !!!!!

ya

darn tootin'!

my housemate plays keyboard for this band sometimes

and he was playing the new recordings all day yesterday while he played piano over the top - I genuinely thought it was Queen when I walked in. I remember them sounding a bit like the Beach Boys when I saw them. Good band!

Far too nice

they need more tragedy in their lives.

if you listen to their lyrics carefully

you'll find that that's certainly the case. In fact you'll find that most of their songs are quite melancholy lyrically.
