The Laaahndaaahn singer-songwriter-bore-core gurl - this just in: 'Caroline's A Victim' voted Worst Song Ever by me - has sealed a deal with Polydor imprint Fiction, home to New Yorkers wit' many cool pointz Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Irish/Scottish/dull rockers Snow Patrol. And some other bands. Probably.

HER WORST SONG! her acoustic stuff is soulless, boring, meandering, mediocre, teenage SHITE. I know SO many 16 year olds who write exactly the same songs, but they're not friends with lily allen (although my girlfriend is, went to her 11th birthday party and EVERYTHING, im well connected). I cant understand why anyones giving her the time of day. A plain voice, sub-standard songwriting, and shes charisma free.

Not sure that counts for anything, mind. But she is. Or was a few months ago anyroad.
Anyway some of her acoustic stuff is really nice - like "The Nicest Thing" and "Birds" too in a way. I think my over-use of the word nice probably sums up my feelings on her.
I don't think she's remarkable - and amongst the scene of people she was playing with a few months back I think there are people who are more interesting song-wise but she's got some quite good songs. I'm not too keen on "Caroline's a Victim" but her other stuffis better.

just today we have agreed to re-record Forever On The Edge backed with two brand new tracks for our debut single. Won't say who it's for in case something goes horribly wrong and it doesn't happen, but its a really cool and enthusiastic indie label, and it will be out in July.
