Brooklyn kiddie dance-pop grungers Tiny Masters Of Today are in London from tonight.
With an average age of 12, the youngsters - drummer Russell Simins aside! - are quite the rock and roll sight. DiS was most perplexed by them at South By Southwest, and now capital city folk can be equally bemused at the following shows:
April
3 London Buffalo Bar (Artrocker)
5 London Proud Gallery, Camden
6 London Brixton Windmill (World Domination League, from 3pm)
7 London Fopp, Tottenham Court Road (free-entry instore)
Check the band out on MySpace, here.
YEAH!
I'm supporting them in Brixton,
which is nice.
Is that Russell Simins as in Russell Simins from the Blues Explosion on drums?
yes
it is.
Holy cow.
I'll have to try not to be too starstruck! I love the Blues Explosion.
Their Myspace
Contains one of the worst songs I've ever heard.
I refuse to listen to any more.
Gimmickcentric.
When your
favourite bands include Oceansize and *ptew* The Mars Volta it's hardly a surprise you don't understand punk rock. After all why let me people hear what your saying/playing when you can hide it under four months of studio time worth of guitar noodling and effects peddle bollocks.
what an awful comeback.
you don't get his music taste, he doesn't get yours.
trading insults wont change that.
and they're rubbish.
If
this band's singular achievement is pissing off people like you guys, every penny was well-spent.
woop
I highly recommend going to see this band. But only on the 6th. And get there early. The first band on are even younger - 4 or 5 year old Magicians.
ROFL!
LMAO!
they were great in NY at CMJ last year...
and by great I mean OK... they're very good fun, mind... I did keep looking at Russell in Pianos like I knew him somewhere before I knew he was in JSBX tho...
