Artists: PJ Harvey

PJ Harvey will return with her seventh studio album this autumn.

White Chalk will be released on the 24th of September, after a year or so in production with producers Flood and John Parish.

The album also sees contributions from long-time cohorts Eric Drew Feldman and Jim White of Dirty Three repute.

It'd be entirely by coincidence if the advert for recently deceased London club night 'Chalk' appears below. Interestingly, the club was named after the crime-scene outlines that you'd imagine Harvey is referencing here.

Is that interesting? Perhaps I'm just too tired to tell.

hurrah!

despite differing opinions of others I thought the last album was great, at her dark broody stalking best, if she can keep that vein of writing open then this album will be utterly brutal with flood producing :)

Uh Huh Her

really grew on me, I was nonplussed at first but kept going back for more without knowing why. And then, all of a sudden, I loved it.

One of the acest things about PJ Harvey is that you never have any idea what to expect. Except that it's likely to be brilliant, one way or another.

Is Rob Ellis still drumming?

no drums.

I agree

Desperate Kingdom of Love is probably one of my favourite songs by anyone ever.

Yes!

Yes! Yes! Yes!
Great news

Personallly I found Uh Huh Her to be her weakest album so far, but there was still a lot to enjoy on it.

i had to sell my tickets

for this saturday night :(

Awesome news

...the album release that is, not your concert misfortune!

Quite possibly the best live act I have ever seen.

pj tastic

yeah, last album was more of a grower than say dry or to bring you my love, some very memorable moments on Uh huh her though. i am going to see her on Saturday, quite excited, although would much rather hear older stuff than previews of the new album; although if "the mountain" is anything to go by the new album should be tres tres bon.
x

Hi

All her work is genius. Can't be denied. Looking forward to Saturday so much.
