i look at wine differently
i thought it was a great film, honestly I thought it could be a little boring (being about wine) but the dialogue is great, the two main characters and their differences just seem to work well

Shadows - by john cassovettes....possibly the first independent american film made. about the beat generation and mixed raced relationships...very good
Elephant - by Gus Van Sant. about a high school shooting. extremely well shot and delivered. great build up of tension.
re-watched 40 shades of blue
loved it the second time round. criminally under-rated.
eagle vs shark - this year's napoleon dynamite for sure.
breach - a bit disappointing given it was directed by the same guy who did shattered glass.

first film i saw peter saarsgard in. breach is based on the real-life story of robert hanssen, an fbi agent who was caught spying for the soviet union.
it was ok, just felt like it lacked depth. chris cooper was good.

I thought that was one of the only faults in an excellent film.
That is really sad
and it made even more sad by the fact that he received a lot of hate-mail from ex-Stasi officers for daring to protray a Stasi officer who did something compassionate against orders - they said this would NEVER had happened and that it was a disgrace that he agreed to play this role.
His performance was really brilliant in it.

Deep Water - Heartbreaking documentary about a guy with no sailing experience who entered the round-the-world yacht race.
Max - I've been wanting to watch this film for ages, as it's got John Cusack in it. It's a fictional account of how Hitler became Hitler. Felt weird watching Germnan's speak English.
Bombon El Perro - Beautiful little film about a guy who's luch changes when he's given a dog. Makes Patagonia look simultaneously awful/awesome.
