Well someone had to start it.

May 29th-31st 2008. Tickets are on sale now, costing €85 up until the end of December. No bands have been announced as yet, but I'm pretty sure I'll be going nonetheless.

I want a slice of that ass bad

But ATP, three weddings, other holiday commitment and stuff are making it tricky to find the time. Got to go though, cheers for the heads up.

I too will definitely be going

Sacrifice the ATP's!

not all confirmations, I think..

The line up is normally announced in four batches, we've only had two so far. Last time the very biggest names were announced last, so who knows?

so far..

...ridiculously good lineup

thats ridiculously cheap

works out as only £62.20 for a weekend ticket!!

If the line up is nearly as good as last years then i'll defo be up for it. If i remember rightly it was quite similar to the ATP vs fans but with some much bigger bands on top of that.
I'll have to make sure i find people who will wanna go aswell though.

Probably the

best weekend of music I've ever experienced earlier this year. Hopefully I'll be able to wrangle a few of my friends into going this time.

I want to go to Primavera

Girlfriend wants to visit Barcelona.

I'm sure some form of compromise can be reached here.

I just hope it doesn't clash with my exams....

Confirmed?

So far, there's been hints of the following bands:

Silver Jews - A few days ago Pitchfork confirmed that the band would be playing at the ATP festival both in UK and Spain.

808 State - Last week you could see on their webpage the date @ Primavera. Not anymore.

Pissed Jeans - the date appears on Mammoth booking myspace.

808 state

would be noyce

Better,

get one ordered and make it four years in a row. €85 that's less than I paid for a Springsteen ticket

taylor^

want to share a appartment again?we want exactly the same one as this year

Count me in,

utter bullshit

i'll be doing my A levels then.

this festival

is the best. and a proper bargain.

it was so much fun this year.

Model 500!

Iam definitely going.

Can anyone recommend any good websites for booking cheap apartments in Barcelona?

Oooooooooh - I really want to go to foreign festivals this year... this looks ACE.

As does Sonar. Shit, I may as well move to Barc.

do they just go

up to €95 after that?

85€

It will be 85€ up till the 15th of January, when they will announce the line up of the ATP stage.
Happy new year!

it looks like i'm going on my own this year

can i tag along with anyone? i'm very polite and friendly.

^ this *is* a possiblilty

if enough people are up for it, but you have to book pretty early to get anything decent.

just seeing the word 'primavera' makes me feel warm and happy

hopefully i can bully a few friends into coming with again.

Great Festival!!

Great Festival!!

Rumours

Come on everyone likes a good rumour mill for Festivals. Got my ticket for this and cant wait, the past few years have been immense, with such an eclectic line up!!

I really want Wu Tang, Sun Kil Moon, AC/DC, Autechre, Fantomas,

Bowie

is the big rumour..

You serious?

Tapes n Tapes will do me!

i'm trying to arrange...

a few people to go. but knowing my friends they'll probably just not bother. despite me spelling out it's only 60 quid for a ticket & 50 for a return flight. 2/3 the cost of the ticket for Glastonbury.

We got somewhere really nice (and cheap)

about 2-3 weeks before. But maybe we were lucky.

^ i think this

is a good idea. I'm pretty certain my hermit housemates are going to bail on me again this year.

DiS = sponsor again.

Fun times.
Look out for news/updates/info/previewssss as and when.
Great festival.

Bowie...

maybe playing?? Wow.
Saying that seen him at the Phoenix Fesival YEARS ago and hes was brutally shite.
But then again midnight in Barcelona with mates watching Ziggy could be alright!!

I hope the Fav are playing!!

I'm spending a week in Barc for Sonar a few weeks later but this sounds way too tempting.

I wonder if I could 'work from the beach' and if wifi extends to sand... hmmm...

Flight & ticket booked

Weee, now fuck off winter.

MODEL 500

Holy Fuckkkkkkkk

I pray that my

exams are kind to me..

shittttt

i wanna go to this so much!!

on the forum

they say there will be more names, mainly the atp stage ones, today or maximum tomorrow. Can´t wait!

ACES.

Reduced ticket price

Tomorrow will be the last day to get this @ only 85€.
Apparently more confirmations tomorrow...or even this evening.

would it be uncomfortable going to this by myself?

looks amazing but i'm not sure i could convince anyone else to accompany me..

Silver Jews

Really hoping

That this is a clue Edan will be playing an ATP in the UK.

i want to buy my ticket tonight

but their website won't let me click on any links before giving me an error message. anyone else having problems?

six organs!

Does anyone know

what price the tickets jump to after tomorrow?

I'm trying to work out whether the discount is enough to make it worthwhile buying a ticket now.

The

Why? followed by Edan/MC Dagha combo was my personal musical highlight of ATP vs The Fans

I didnt see Why?

But Edan ripped my head off. Was flipping amazing. I have a really embarrassing photo with them both (seperately) too. What a twat.

Website

It will go up to 95 Euros tomorrow, then maybe a few weeks after that 110 Euros maybe if i remember right from last year. The website does sometimes fuck up if u put it in English, but it normally works if you just go and press the arrow at the top left back. It takes u back to the webpage but now in English. Ive always booked with Tik Tak and they seemed pretty good so far!! Good Luck, this is really only a snip of who will be playing too. It rocks all night till the early morning!!

nice nice.

so tomorow the prices go up 20 euros, but they release a whole new load of names, right?

ACCOMMODATION

Has anyone booked a hotel room with a spare couch I could crash on in exchange for some pounds (or euros)?

NO

They go up by 10 euros on the 16th...then they slowly accounce more names in batches.

ok,

cheers. seems like such a waste booking a hostel when for most of the time I won't be there for the nights.

anyone booked hostels/hotels yet? tips?

Not yet

I've always gone in an apartment with friends but it doesn't look like that's going to happen this time round.

The only problem with hostels is that you're going to be sleeping during the day (the festival runs till 6am) so there might be a lot of noise. Hmm.

there's a small hostel

right near the bus station (where the free night coaches goes to) that we stayed at last year. there's only phone bookings so it's not too crowded, and it's small & quiet. i'll see if i can find the name again.

should i book a ticket anyway even though i haven't convinced anyone to come??

that hostel sounds good,

what with the coaches and such.

i've not convinced anyone to come either. i'm thinking about booking my flight now (while it's cheap), then go about asking friends and getting tickets.

at www.rent4days.com they've got apartments. i dunno if anyone on here would be up for sorting something like that out?

Hostels...

If u want i can find out where me and my friends are staying and u could possibly stay there. We go there each year and its a sound Hostel, for 6 days it works out around 100 quid each. Which to be fair is pretty good considering its near the Festival, the beach and the nicer parts of Barcelona!!

Also alot of the Hostels u book online they cant read English very well which is bit of a hassle, but these guys can!! Well my mate sorted it and it worked out alright for us.

Its not in the centre, but its right near the "French Station" and this big park.

that sounds good

my sister said she'd go with me :D i wanna go so much but not sure how much money i have...

i stayed in a hostel slap bang in the middle of the gothic quarter last year

might have been called 'gothic point', actually. i'd recommend it to anyone - clean, cheap and in a great location. i think i'll be heading there again this year.

HOSTEL BOOKED.

Sea Point Hostel from www.hostelbookers.com

it's £15 a night, so £60 for 28-31st (but only paid £6 upfront)

the subway stop 'barcaloneta' is on the yellow line to the festival.

woop! getting excited now!

last time i booked a hostel

i went alone :( i ended up in a 6 bedroom dorm, with 5, 19 year old German girls :D

You should stay till the Monday

they have the closing party on the Sunday night which is always great, Of Montreal played last year and Xiu Xiu the year before.

For the last 3 years

I have stupidly forgotten about the Sunday night shindig when booking flights. This year I have finally booked a return flight for the Monday
