Why?
Why are they still here?
Cos Alan McGee sez so!
On a related note, I saw in the NME a write up about Carl Barat and him wanting to "do a Radiohead" by McGee not letting him... I seriously don't know why I care about this, but I wanna know why its "the new business model!!!" for one, and a bad idea for another... apart from the fact he has no idea what he's on about and what day of the week it is.
this story
is putting me in a coma... why are people still insomniacs when the charlatans are still around?
You know they'll recieve the NME godlike genius award at some point soon...
Employee of the Month > godlike genius
.
I distinctly recall sitting on the bus to Winchester
way back when I was a student (in the very loosest sense) at Peter Symonds College.
A girl on the bus started nattering away about The Charlatans and I recall the consensus being that they should have given up some years previously.
That was in September 1996.
The Charlatans
Say what you want about them but they made 4 great albums in a row between 1995 & 2001.
What??
Simpatico is a class album. Saw the at Delamere Forest live last year. They were shit hot.
And this is why...
smoking crack is bad.
Agreed
I'm on KillingMoon's side here.
^
Cheers.
hmmmm...
i think their last good album was The Charlatans (1995) - saw them live in 2002 and Tim's ego could hadly fit in the room - never seemed to be about that before... LA don't suit him.
so i still ask my question WHY the fuck are they still here?
Still like them
The single's good and the album's going to be free. What's not to like?
