Good list.
It takes so much effort that hardly anyone else will bother, except maybe SHANDYHOLMES. :)
Indeed. I will gradually add more
as the day goes on, no doubt. I think Basement Jaxx - Rooty would have to be there, and M.I.A. - Arular. And The Fall of Math somewhere also.

I listened to Dummy for the first time in ages last night
It's good, but I'm not sure how well it's aged.
Well worth a purchase though (especially if it's in the £5 or so bracket)
yeah it was only a fiver
so i had a cheeky punt
you're in for quite the audible treat
Good call with The Big Dirty - you seeing them on tour in April?
yeahhhhh
i cant wait.is the manchester academy 2 really small?i hope its small
Only been to the main one
for TMV on the 2005 tour. Man, that venue sucks.
They're playing a teeny, tiny venue in Glasgow so it should be mental
I knew you couldn't resist.

SHANDYHOLMES in brackets:
Ok Computer-7(1)

i couldnt resist
im in a posting mood today.things have picked up.we do have very similar tastes.dont take this the wrong way (i dont know how you could) but has anyone ever told you that you look like noel fielding? from your profile pic anyway
Ha ha, Noel Fielding that's brilliant.
I've been had worse, like people saying I looked like Gerard Way back when he had dark hair.
I'm looking to check out a lot of the bands you like such as Oceansize, Fear Before The March Of Flames, Cursive etc. because of our similar tastes. Although my list of wanted albums is up to about 25 currently, mainly down to you and Medulla.
I used to get David Sneddon
aaaaaaaaaall the time.
Yay.
MARTIN GRECH <3
You missed out "so many great albums"
But "Silent Alarm" still found its way in there?
;)
What's your point exactly.
I've never got this Bloc Party hate even if the second album was piss poor. Anyway I haven't included a lot of the albums I've bought recently because obviously they need to stand the test of time before being included. Silent Alarm could well not be on there in a couple of months.
Albums I can see in my top 20 in the future include:
Rock Action- (Mogwai)
Isn't Anything- (My Bloody Valentine)
one time for all time- (65daysofstatic)
Relationship Of Command- (At The Drive-In)
^ buy Happy Songs For Happy People
it's soooooooooooooooooo good
Maybe I will then.
I'm sure I will buy another Mogwai at some point.
No real point.
It's nothing to do with the Second Album; more that I've never been before so suckered in by hype (and Pioneers which, in fairness, is a great song) only to be so underwhelmed by the actual album itself.
I'm usually fairly objective and balanced and, even if I don't like something, can understand why other people do. Silent Alarm's popularity genuinely baffles me.

6. McLusky - Do Dallas
7. Biffy Clyro - Infinity Land
8. Weezer - Blue
9. The Faint - Danse Macabre
10. The Most Serene Republic - Underwater Cinematographer
hmm
I may change some of this but this is off the top of my head. There's some newer albums which I have to figure out where they fit in.
I think Curses should probably be in there.
Good call with Danse Macabre
whack that somewhere in my top 20
I'll have a crack at 20

INDEED
Although having said that, I like giving myself time to listen to The Most Serene Republic and listen to the whole album through rather than listening to odd songs. Their albums really work for me.
I just get them a lot more than BSS and the like.
And looking at your list I realise I've left off United by Fate. Sigh.
Unless youve got
your entire collection at your finger tips I think we'll all get home and realise we missed of tones of quality albums - oh well
That's sadly true
At least I didn't forget Neutral Milk Hotel though.

Jaggy Snake is my favourite Biffy Clyro song.
.
Snap
Jaggy Snake is awesome
Very Much Seconded
Infinity Land is my favourite by miles.
I still haven't figured out whether I like Puzzle as an album yet though.
It takes me a little long to digest how much I actually like an album after the heady throes of first love/hate hit.
me too
i think its probably because it was the first one id heard properly.obviously now they are all good but inifinity land is still my favourite and yeah jaggy snake is ace.i loved puzzle when it first came out and i still do.one of the best live bands out there as well
Infinity Land is the best Biffy album.
I agree that there is nothing wrong with the other two mentioned but Infinity Land is special.
The bit that starts with Crasp
up to The Weapons are Concealed is one of my favourite album patches ever.
yeah definately
you know the bit at the end of the album when you leave it for 20 mins or so then them scary noises come in.i was trying to get to sleep one night when this was on and ive never been more scared of noises in my life
