People’s champion Björk has announced that the only turn she’ll be doing at a UK festival this summer will be in Knebworth, at the Wild in the Country all-dayer.
The Icelandic singer has proven to be curiously controversial during her recent world tour dates, attracting the ire of Serbia’s EXIT Festival organisers and the Chinese government with cries of ‘Kosovo, Kosovo’ and ‘Tibet, Tibet’ respectively.
We’re not sure which country will have their flag temporarily hoisted at Knebworth. Gibraltar? Guernsey? Ireland, perhaps. If you go along to find out, wait ‘til the end of ‘Declare Independence’ when the shout outs generally come.
Anyway, Battles and Late of the Pier are also playing the event which takes place on Saturday the 5th of July. Tickets cost £47.50 from here.
