Elbow and Sigur Ross make me go all woozy, but most of the rest is pretty pants.

and Sigur Ros and Spiritualized in that setting should be fantastic, never mind the ned-tastic nature of the rest of it.

grinderman are about the only decent band and even then i'd prefer the bad seeds.

or Portishead playing this, i'm genuinely upset by this line up, this was the only festival I knew for "definite" that I was going to, now i've got no festivals at all! I'm even considering T in the Park now and just sulking in the Pet Sounds Arena all weekend.

I am glad that I gave in and bought a ticket for T. This is a very disappointing line up.

as like most folk here Connect was going to be one of festivals i was definitely going to until i see this uninspiring line up. Franz would get the crowd going, Grinderman is one i want to see but apart from that its just pish they’re going to have to have some great smaller band to pull this back.

With the exception of Sigur Ros and Manic Street Preachers, possibly (for nostalgic reasons) it's disappointing.

just look to the eits atp announcement. that furore gave me stomach ulcers.

..this is shiter than I expected. Looks like a TITP line up really, which isnt that surprising considering the organisers.

This has actually made me a little sad, as last years looked simply awesome and it will never be as good again.

that was one of the best things about connect last year: no complete fannies/chavs. but with that line up it's just going to be titp mark 2. gah.

underwhelming line-up to say the least

What a horrendous line up. I was planning on getting my girlfriend a Connect ticket for her birthday. Now it's back to the drawing board. What a load of pish.

Bloc Party got added today...... gutted

as a sort of "spillover" festival for acts that they wanted to play T In The Park but who couldn't make the dates?

In which case I think the lineup being so good last year was more a happy accident than the result of any deliberate planning on the part of the organisers. This year's really does look like T-II. Bah. I'm away for most of the summer and only getting back in August, I was relying on Connect to be decent so I could get to at least one festival this year.

and it was the best festi - bar glasto - i've been to. shame the line-up looks so pants this year... but as i have to be at a friends wedding anyways it makes me have less regrets :)
