Fans of Belgian indie-pop, direct your eyes to these words: we’ve a super competition for you.
Ahead of the release of their Vantage Point LP, released later this month, DiS is offering a reader (and one of their friends) the chance to watch dEUS perform live at their own Vantage Point Studios in Antwerp, Belgium.
The band (MySpace) will be previewing tracks from their fifth album where it was written and recorded; the studios also feature in the video for the album’s lead single, ‘Slow’.

The competition winner – and their friend of choice – will accompany a DiS representative to Antwerp on Sunday April 20. (Please do not enter this competition if you are not free on this date.) They will catch the Eurostar from St Pancras, London, on Sunday morning, watch dEUS perform for a special webcast at 3pm, and return to London the same day.
A full itinerary will be sent to the winner when contacted.

Tom would definately be a lemon bomb - Deus always gives me a right head fizz. After listening to the new album I need a Werthers Original to calm down.

I often meet Tom Barman with MY WIFE JAN, WHAT WE TALK ABOUT is often confectionary and what we’d each be. I’d be a Midget Gem but Tom thinks EVERYBODY’S WEIRD who likes them – especially the black ones! WORST CASE SCENARIO he’d be a Parma violet, they’re the devil’s sweet and he’s WORRIED ABOUT SATAN. Tom’s GUILTY PLEASURE is Opal Fruits, sometimes he says he’d like to be one but there’s been A SHOCKING LACK THEREOF recently. Last time we met, we went NIGHTSHOPPING for bonbons on INSTANT STREET, I said “Tom , what about being a Curly Wurly?” He said “no way, but IF YOU DON’T GET WHAT YOU WANT he’d SUFFER (Blackpool) ROCK”. On the way home it struck Tom what THE REAL SUGAR he craves is. “OH YOUR GOD!” I exclaimed, “INCLUDE ME OUT of this, I DON’T MIND WHATEVER HAPPENS”.
