More festival additions to report – this time it’s word that The Cribs, Jamie T (pictured), The National and Biffy Clyro will all be headlining the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury this year.
A very nice clutch of acts considering they follow last year’s choices of The Gossip and The Twang, though Hot Chip were there to haul quality upwards.
Also appearing on the late DJ’s stage will be The Tings Tings, The Futureheads, Reverend And The Makers, Band of Horses and Spiritualized.
Jamie T and The Cribs will co-headline the stage on Friday the 27th, followed in turn on the Saturday and Sunday by Biffy Clyro and The National.
The full line-up will be revealed on the 1st of May and tickets will, you’d expect, sell out on that date if they don’t before then. They’re still available to those who’ve registered.

'cept The National. And maybe The Cribs...
Jamie T should have been aborted
Good that they're releasing
the 'white boys with guitars' list now.
That'll placate the baying hordes...
Exactly
If this was really a tribute to John Peel it would be headlined by a weird French techno act with a Norwegian death metal band on before them.
The brilliant part of John Peels show was not that he had a lot of skinny white boys on when not a lot of radio was doing that but that you were never sure what you were going to get from one night to the next. The Peel tribute discs were similar abominations in this respect.
The Gossip were brilliant last year
^this
DiS really is
backlash central
It was a great way to end the festival
The performance made me completely forget about the mud and the journey home, and the crowd was absolutely psyched, and most brilliantly of all, not just for SITWOC but the whole set
The National + Band Of Horses
= me increasingly glad about my Glasto ticket.
Me too
The National
British Sea Power
Massive Attack
Hot Chip
Band of Horses
MGMT
Foals
Neon Neon
LEONARD MOTHERFUCKING COHEN
Yeah the line up's shit innit
But haven't you heard?
Glastonbury is soooo last year.

BJM
Elbow
Dizzee
Spiritualized

It's shaping up quite nicely.
Los Camps are "Strong Rumour" on E-festivals now too. Also on there they have Hot Chip, Elbow and Massive Attack all on the other stage on saturday. OOMMMFFFGGGYES! :D
Last year
Did Los Camps play the Park Stage last year after Martha Wainwright? Wasn't sure if it was them or Cajun Dance Party at the time and am still none the wiser now...
yeah they did play
it was early on the Friday, when the sun was still out. Don't think it was after Martha Wainwright though.
Does anyone else agree with me that Spiritualized should be headlining this stage?
If it was a true Peel we'd have Bonkers Happyharcore DJs
and it would rock.
"surprisingly the most adventurous is Drive Time Dave Pearc, playing old skool and hard trance on a sunday night...
... and beyond adventurous is John Peel. The only hope of a kick-drum lead track above 150 bpm. John Peel is not enough."
