I just received 50 copies of our Australian release. We'll be selling them at our very limited upcoming gigs (of which this is one). Get one while you can.....cos we really need the money if we're going to finish recording the album.

Same tracklisting only different artwork. It's all the stuff we've released on BSM (minus the Hippy Jam Fest 7") and an extra track which we did special like.

we played at the bully down the road and had all of about 4 people there. literally.
i didn't know may day was such a big deal in oxford!!

mimas were absolutely stunning
the noise they created was so good it was worth every one of the 340 pedals they seemed to have on stage. Lovely guys too, they gave me 2 (different) free demo CDs.
TTNG were great obviously, and it was nice to see 4 or 5 Magicians again too, although Dan ran out of between-song chat at one point and just started having a conversation with me from the stage :D
Missed Minnaars, sadly. Really bloody great gig overall though!
I missed most of the show too
which makes me an ass, I hate hate hate people who play then disappear but needs must on occasion. I watched a few songs, lost a phone then sulked off :(

It was really good
It was a surprising decent turn out. I was expecting to play to the other bands last night, but I think somewhere between 40/50 maybe were there (not sure though as I'm terrible at estimating crowd numbers and I was a bit worse for wear by the time we played).
May day in Oxford is a REALLY big deal. More so than anywhere else I know of.
Sorry you had such a poor turn out. It was a real shame the gigs clashed as I would've really liked to have come to see you.
Minnaars were really good as were 4 or 5 Magicians. Mimas were incredible though. I thought they great. I've been listening to their new album recently and I really hope they get someone to release it over here. They totally deserve it.
Gig went on a bit late though. 4 hours of sleep last night. I'm a wreck today :-(
I am sorry I/we miss your show
primarily cause my being excited about this gig was largely due to getting to see you for the first time live and being happy about that. But we're playing with you somewhere else I believe? If so, woo.

ah well, we enjoyed the sights, sounds and smells of oxford for an afternoon, so it wasn't all bad i guess. just all that driving and no petrol money made it a pretty meaningless excersise!

yeah it was good
all the bands were splendid, from the start to the end, although that singer guy from this town needs guns was a bit drunk. djing between bands was a bit of a waste of time too so i pretty much gave up on that.
and yeah, it ran way too late but blame dan for that stu!
after the next gig (EX MODELS on the 15th!) I think that's it for me and midweek gigs. too much rushing about, fucking with work etc and I need much more than 4 hours sleep, i am feeling absolutely shit today and i didn't even drink!
