i'm there!

Xenakis?

I think I'm seeing this on Sunday

I hope it's as good as I've heard it is.

do report back

want to go see it after exams.

It's reeeeeeeeeealalaleealllly good.

Well, maybe not.
But it's really good.

wow

just got back and, boy, was it crapola. virtually no dialogue, a million scenes, and vacuous yet constant constant constant narration from the author/protagonist who, i gather, is pretty egotistical. When it came to explaining politics, characters simply started listing all the concepts and ideologies that were banging around at the time. worst thing was though was the fact it's been dubbed into these totally ridiculous american accents. i thought that was considered really LAME a good few years back.

highlights

protagonist, in retrospect, sees her ex as an ugly fool who eats his own snot.
ha ha ha

i couldn't stop laughing at that bit

i miss beavis and butthead, lots.

:(

OMG I JUST GOT BACK TOO?

Yeah it was crap. And it wasn't even in french so I didn't get to flex my french muscles.

well then

you shoulda gone to see it in French, doye.

I just presumed it would be, being a french film and all.

Probably too "arty" for friday night glasgow though, to show a french film in a multiplex cinema.
Should'ave gone to see forgetting sarah marshall instead.

not really..

i've seen loads of films there in french.

amelie?

I'm really disappointed by the replies

I had a watch of the trailer last night, after reading this thread. It looked very well animated and I like the concept. Ah well, maybe a DVD release?

so you can be disappointed

from the comfort of your own home.

I thought it was pretty good..

but then i saw it in french, wonder why they slapped an american dub over it..

The political side of things was a little simplistic but i really liked the animation/ I watched it with a persian friend who seemed to think it was pretty spot on in terms of the general feeling out there and the way the family interacted with each other. + it had some pretty funny moments...

that said calling iron maiden punk was a little off :P

is ti possible to see the original in England?

Maybe at l'Institute Francais...
