I only bought the Torche album yesterday. It's quite short though. As are Discordance Axis songs.
Astral Social Club have a new album out called "Model Town In A Field Of Mud" (???) which is the best thing they've done AFAIK. There are clips on boomkat.
The new Burial Hex album is really cool too. Starts off all Stars Of The Liddy then descends into screaming hell!
I have the Soul Jazz Tropicalia compilation (which is great), and I really love OM's tracks on it. What album of their do you recommend getting first? ALso, ^5 on Discordance Axis.
the first one, called 'Os Mutantes'. You can get it cheap. Watch it though because they have another album called 'Mutantes' which isn't quite as good. Great band though! Good mix of the catchy and the nuts.
I forget I have that DA album cos of it's stupid huge dvd box.

I like Ready for the Floor and One Pure Thought by hot chip enough to listen to them ten times each at the computer, so it must be a worrying amount more IRL. This week I realised how much I love Fantastic Damage by El-P, I can't stop listening to T.O.J.
I haven't put on Joanna Newsom for ages, but I think I just put on Ys because it's an epic and I was tired and couldn't be bothered to change the music all the time. Same goes for Iggy Pop.
I really, really bleeding love Maus' My Whole World's Falling Apart, I've listened to that a ridiculous amount this week. But I've been a little disappointed the rest of the album doesn't seem that special IMOOOO.
So yeah, there's an explanation of my listening habits, not that you asked. I need to listen to more stuff, it's all looking rather samey.

OMG the cheap time album is a letdown? how depressing.
i was so excited for it all for you!
i've never heard sore eros or hearts of animals, but they definitely are names i enjoy so i will go listen to them now..
<3
:)
Sore Eros is Ariel Pink related, when you contact him about CDRs, he takes donations, rather than a set $$$ price.
Hearts of Animals, really cool stuff, quite poppy in places, but interesting for sure.

Just got the internet back, first last.fm chart since October 2006 ...
