P.S. I couldn't find a thread on this although I think I saw one ages ago. I also hope this is on the right board its pretty much a festival aint it.

I'm going to Trash

to see Tiny Dancers and The Longcut and staying for the duration I think.

If you are on the wander I'd look for Dinosaur Pile-Up and Laura Groves (both Cockpit) and Lucy and the Caterpillar (Brudenell). As I understand XX Teens are supporting Pigeon Shit at their sold out Millenium Square gatherihng for idiots and are therefore off limits.

cool cheers

I am indeed probibly gona stear clear of the idiots.

Laura Groves!

playing at the cockpit I think

yep says so on the tin.....

.... I mean flyer, thats two recomendations for them looks like a good un. thanx

The Cockpit bill...

...really is very strong from 2pm. I don't know Little Lost David but everything else is pretty much the best new stuff in Leeds at the mo.

NOTE - the addition of Napoleon IIIrd now. Ace!

2pm - Pulled Apart By Horses
2.30pm - Fourteen Corners
3pm - Vessels
3.30pm - Napolean IIIrd
4pm - Dinosaur Pile Up
4.30pm - Little Lost David
5pm - The Debuts
5.30pm - Mi Mye
6pm - Grammatics
6.30pm - Fran Rodgers
7pm - I Concur
7.30pm - Laura Groves
8pm - This Et Al
8.30pm - Paul Marshall
9pm - Metronomy

<I'm biased on Concur as I'm in them but everything else really is hot at the mo>

Wicked thanku

I like a bit of Napolean IIIrd. I will hopefuly check your band out too.

I Concur are great

He's right to give himself kudos! So are Vessels too.

Laura Groves is AMAZING. Its just one little lady and a guitar, piano winsome melodies and beautiful lyrics though so if that's not your bag give it a miss!

Shame

that I Conncur are playing. Those boys are lame. Everything else looks good though!

M

YES!

So many bands to see

, live at leeds will be amazing. Gonna see The Brute Chorus and Operator Please, should be good

I concur are good

The line up just shows how strong local music and music in general is, which bands are your must sees

I dunno which ones I must see really

I was just currious about other DiSers recomendadtions as I hadnt herd of may of the bands. thought it would be best to do some homework before going so I can stear our lil group to some good stuff.

^

go see old romantic killer band at brudenell.
they're very good

Sorry

I was just making an incredibly rubbish joke.

I Concur are, in fact, very good.

pulled apart by horses

are great

Thanks Martin

What time are you making dinner tonight?

7

or 3

thats what I saw a while back

cheers for the link up I wouldn't mind checking out the heavier stuff.

I think..

I'm off to see

dead certs
chiara ls
grammatics
i concur
this et al
white rabbits
longcut
tiny dancers

aren't alphabeat playing? i'm sure i saw them somewhere. we're going to see how pissed we are after white rabbits then decide if we're heading back to cockpit for a little dance or whether we're going to fav to see the last two bands. is anyone going to the press conference thing with the leeds types?

I'm sure my planing will go outa the window

once me and me mates get drinking but hay its worth a try. The conference looks interesting but I doubt I will go I might as well listen to music instead, since I aint in the industry.

I'm definitely going go to this

How do you go about getting wristbands, or is it done on the day?

I dunno to be honest

I hadn't even thought of that i asume you get them there.

Tempted to see

Her Name Is Calla at the Library as I've managed to miss them both times they've been to Leeds recently.

Calla...

...have pulled out I'm afraid.

Oh!

In that case I won't then!

.

yep! out we pulled. pulled out did we. we're going to watch the debut performance of our merch man's new play instead. true story. buy our record

oh dear

I Heard it on the grapevine that 'The Twang' are the oh-so-secret headliners at the Cockpit . just a polite warning

The Sugars

Don't miss The Sugars at Live At Leeds. Brudenell 3pm. The Sugars and The Grammatics are the best things on all day.

Quite possibly

Definitely going to be watching both. 'The' Grammatics though?

The Twang

Are supporting The Pigeon Detectives at Millennium Square earlier in the day...
