also

any violinists / acoustic bass players fancy it?

why the heck not..

Moar members!

I don't own an acoustic bass, or in fact a working bass right now, but I'd be up for it anyway.

I'm already a member of this band...

and so would agree, acoustic bass would be lovely!

I have and play one, but it belongs to my school and so I have to give it back when I leave in a couple of weeks :(

steal it!

as above

we may

have a double bass player

I'm

in Edinburgh but play violin, viola, banjo, mandolin etc.

I'm not as good at the banjo but I can pluck it like a guitar gets plucked. No specialist banjo skill I'm afraid.

How often/where do you practice and stuff? How often do you gig?

Sorry for too many questions.

we

practise once a month roughly

http://www.myspace.com/thesecondhandmarchingband

there are two gigs that are still to be added that for late summer, one is very exciting indeed.

we have a few edinburgh members, the glasgow in the subject line was a bit rude of me, sorry.

it

sounds nice and informal and fun (having read the blog) and it sounds like it wouldn't matter if I couldn't make the odd practice or gig.

Where do you practice and at what times?

.

we have one this saturday in q10 next door to the 13th note between 3-6, it is usually at weekends though we have had the occasional midweek one (in the flat of the person with the nicest neighbours)

hi

I've been thinking about this and cos I'm in 3 bands already I probably shoudn't add a fourth - I think I really need to concentrate on my main one just now. Sorry about that, I would have enjoyed it I think - sounds like a fun and interesting idea. I liked the myspace stuff too, I'll come and see one of your gigs.

they sell

shitey ones on ebay for cheap, cheap

treat yrself!

I earn £55 a week.

But I do have my 21st Birthday coming up. IDEA.
PS. Pls don't stalk me. Kthx bai.

i'd be interested

if i wasn't too shy with things like this, i can't even play in front of my music teacher without getting sweaty hands

but

could you play in front of a computing teacher?

Twenty members...

...is NEVER enough members!

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE

Agreed

A few more and we can fill small venues on our own!

We can be our own crowd

:P

hi Dave!

I R SHMB stalker.

Indeed, I be

Liam

We welcome all the stalkers we can get :D

i love

martwizzle

i think we should stalk him instead

agreed

we need at least 27

i will

be heading down to the 13th note

No, but whilst there's a Glasgow thread

there's a BBQ in the park happening in June. Game?

I dont play banjo

But I know a guy who does. Unfortunately he's just finishing off some travels in America but he'll be back next month.

He has another song that's got lots of banjo in but it's not up there.

Also, he's from Fife but lives in Glasgow. Win. :D
