Im looking for a good EQ, either in pedal or rig form. Looking at the Boss EQ-20, any good? Any recommendations? Not looking at dropping a fortune here.
I'll swap you the 6-band MXR one for any kind of comparable price used pedal that's useful. My pedal is pretty much mint, never gigged, turns out I just didn't need it. Works fine though.
The MXR 10 band thing
is very good.
I've not tried the 6 band but it's supposed to be pretty good too (and smaller obviously).

Thanks.
That looks a bit more serious than the boss one, much appreciated.
well
the boss ge-20 has the bonus of being able to switch between eq curves so would allow you to do more interesting things with eq changes.
The MXR 10 band is meant to be great mind
Yeah thats what Ive just noticed so Im torn again
Which 10-band are we talking here, cos theres a Kerry King one too. Not that I like Slayer but it would be worth having the extra features No?
I think the only difference is
that the KK one has two outputs so you can run two amps off it ('bi-amp').
The standard 10 band will be cheaper and easier to get hold of secondhand as the KK is still pretty new.
I have a 6-band MXR one

I dont really have anything that Im willing to part with
Ill be trying the MXR KK one this weekend. Thanks for the help.
I'll swap you
a Boss CE-5 chorus ensemble or a DOD Grunge pedal for the MXR.
The chorus is boxed, the grunge isn't. Both in very good condition though. I just don't use them nowadays.
whats the difference between a poor eq pedal and a good one?
genuine question alert.
I
don't know the other pedals been talked about I use the Danelectro Fish n Chips. Looks cheap, is cheap but sounds good and has lasted years.
