about series 4 was that they spent way too much time away from the flat, where their boring lives are. Their lives were too interesting! I'm just worried this series is going to tarnish the program as a whole, because this first episode was very dull.
apart from right at the end, from the point where Jez let the burglar go.
Megatron = MEGALOLZ
I've never really like posh accents on girls, but big suze... ooooh

unfortunately seem like Peep Show by numbers. i watched the last episode pf series 4 to get myself in the mood and i was crying with laughter, but the new one was just...meh. i realise comparing a series finale to an opening episode is a bit unfair but still, the contrast was alarming.
i did the same with series 4 though and i don't think the contrast was 'alarming'. thinking about it, it was a bit like a mix of series 4 and series 1.
Had more direction than some of the less good episodes of Series 4. They plainly couldn't work out where to go with the whole burglar scenario, but other than that - good stuff.
series 4 got a bit unbearable with the cringe... the string of the pheasent, Sophie's mum, the JLB conference, it just kept getting more extreme until they got to "Mummy". I can't actually watch that episode. Althought Jez pissing himself was hilarious.
It'll pick up. The kids need to get some new insults. Cleanshirt doesn't cut it anymore.
yes
i'm making one this weekend

Big Suze!

CAN YOU SEE ME???
I SEE ALL
Series 3
was the pinnacle. The last series was pretty terrible. This trend seems to be continuing.
I disagree actually
I didn't think much of 3. I thought 4 was a return to the form of the first two series even though it was much cruder. This episode wasn't very good.
What annoyed me
about series 4 was that they spent way too much time away from the flat, where their boring lives are. Their lives were too interesting! I'm just worried this series is going to tarnish the program as a whole, because this first episode was very dull.
true
hopefully the 2nd half is funnier
"you're never alone with a 'phone"
really reminded me of all those 'going to gigs on your own' threads.
"Being bereaved is better than being stood up"
Amen.
I think the 2nd half really let it down
cept the end line 'i'm his only one'
I was a bit disappointed..
.. the clips on the previews were the best bits. :s
disapointing
and I thought the last series was really great
I thought you might be the one
brought out the LOLs
It was good
Not amazing. It'll proably pick up though.
It produced a few laughs,
but was hardly up to the standard of episodes in previous series. Could have been worse though.
the second half
was a real downer after the first
I wasnt amazed
I ainta huge fan though. The Megatron was the best bit. I hope it isn't down hill from that.
NO
IVE MISSED IT.
BECUASE I WAS SOCIALISING
:(
fool!
me too :( I'm going to source it on the interweb. All this talk of the Megatron is getting me a bit excited.
4OD is your friend
for what it's worth, i thought the episode was really good.
The ending was really bad
The whole 'they're so pathetic they need one another and can't handle being divided' angle needs some fucking development.
great episode
"course it's not aids, this isn't the eighties, it's the best std, just cute old, mostly symptomless chlamydia"
"nobody minds a visit from the invisible man!"
I thought it was excellent.
No massive laughs but it was still better than anything else thats been on the TV since the last series.
Would love to be able to avoid the adverts for it though.
As someone said already, they pretty much were the best bits.
I liked it!
It wasn't an amazing episode but I did LOL a lot.
and it still pisses all over any other comedy on telly at the moment.
I thought it was alright.
And also
what was wrong with the last series? The penultimate episode, with the dog, was one of the funniest thing I've watched.
Absolutely, and I literally cried with laughter
as Jeremy was pissing himself in the church.
I thought it was great
"We could burn him with cigarettes..."
Me too
A very pleasant surprise after the god awful That Mitchell and Webb Look.
:D
I thought it was great.
...
The whole scenario with the little chav bloke would have been more at home in Series 3, when the writing was at it's apex.
as always it was good
had a few really great moments too
gets even funnier after you've watched it a second time
"well it's not really delicious like hot chocolate or coke, but for wine..brilliant"
do kind of agree that it tailed off a bit towards the end of the episode
ah that was perhaps my favourite moment
i prefer coke to wine though
6/10
funny, but pretty average by peep show standards. that is normally the case though with the first one or two episodes of each series.
I thought it was really good
apart from right at the end, from the point where Jez let the burglar go.

loved it basically.
"im your one".
it did
unfortunately seem like Peep Show by numbers. i watched the last episode pf series 4 to get myself in the mood and i was crying with laughter, but the new one was just...meh. i realise comparing a series finale to an opening episode is a bit unfair but still, the contrast was alarming.
i agree with you but
i did the same with series 4 though and i don't think the contrast was 'alarming'. thinking about it, it was a bit like a mix of series 4 and series 1.
the bit in the theatre
was the best bit.
I liked it.
Had more direction than some of the less good episodes of Series 4. They plainly couldn't work out where to go with the whole burglar scenario, but other than that - good stuff.
was ace
back to the root, after last series' shark jumping.
(i dont need them to eat a dog)
That was one of the best (if not a tad uncormfortable) moments of S4
Tonight made me laugh out loud in lots of places.
yeah
series 4 got a bit unbearable with the cringe... the string of the pheasent, Sophie's mum, the JLB conference, it just kept getting more extreme until they got to "Mummy". I can't actually watch that episode. Althought Jez pissing himself was hilarious.
