But that's me. And I can't justify it. In any way, shape or form. Other than the fact that Pulp bore me a bit. And Blur beat Suede because Blur didn't release Head Music. Even though I'm actually more likely to play a Suede album than I am a Blur album in 2008.
For the last four days I've had the bit in Starcrazy by Suede where Bret shouts "VIOLENCE!" in a comedy manner. I haven't listened to that song in 10 years.
I have to be honest and say the album I'm most likely to listen to by any of them is Think Tank. I love that album.
The others have their virtues, like 'The Beautiful Ones' being one of the best singles ever and 'We Love Life' making up for previously over-earnest output but Blur wins for me. Just.
Suede are in my top 5 favourite bands buuuut, looking at it with head and not heart I'd say:
1. Blur = talented enough to constantly evolve when they felt they had to hence a consistent and varied back catalogue
2. Suede = First two albums absolute classics (Dog Man Star possibly my favourite ever), Coming Up was good but then tailed off badly
3. Pulp = Only just behind Suede really, This Is Hardcore a classic and obv. Different Class and His n' Hers both, if slightly skewed, good pop albums. But for a 20 year career little else really stands out.
would strangle Albarn. Cocker might not be that good in a fight, they would break his glasses. Blur guys might be drunk so that would give the others an edge. But in the end Pulp might win it, as the the others would not be willing to beat up a girl and she would kick them all.
Firstly i was never that impressed by most of Suedes output. Blur have made some great records (13, Blur) but also have a fair bit of shite (Parklife). Pulp are in parts brilliant.
This would be the gayest fight ever
can you re-type this please?
sorry!
id go with:
suede
pulp
blur
For me:
Blur
Suede
Pulp
But that's me. And I can't justify it. In any way, shape or form. Other than the fact that Pulp bore me a bit. And Blur beat Suede because Blur didn't release Head Music. Even though I'm actually more likely to play a Suede album than I am a Blur album in 2008.
For some reason
For the last four days I've had the bit in Starcrazy by Suede where Bret shouts "VIOLENCE!" in a comedy manner. I haven't listened to that song in 10 years.
But anyway, yeah:
Blur
Pulp
Suede
for once he's right folks
I had to get one eventually
this^^^
anyone who says Pulp suck are simply wrong
VIOLENCE!
I saw them in about '96, and my abiding memory was of Brett yelping just that, whilst slapping a tambourine on his bony arse. Great* Times.
Dog Man Star was awesome though, in a fabulously ridiculous way.
joe - www.anewbandaday.com
*possibly not that great
i
always thought he was saying "no violence" like fagin from the oliver! film. maybe not then....
This is mine too

if pushed
Blur
Suede
Pulp
thats the most difficult one of these ive tried to answer. I cant believe pulp came bottom of a list.
hmm
suede
blur
pulp
don't be silly
blur (most consistent output)
pulp (best songs, but only two great albums)
suede
definitely this ^
in agreement.
^
uhm
i can't position blur and pulp, but they both come above suede.
.
Whatever
Whatever
Pulp
Pulp are the worst band in the world.
Hmm
I only really listen to Pulp of those three these days, plus more varied and interesting output than either of the others. So Pulp.
Then Suede, as I used to have lots of love for them and DMS is still amazing.
Then Blur, as my teenage self didn't like them very much.
Of course
The real answer is
The Auteurs
Three awesome bands
but I'd go:
Pulp
Blur
Suede
Maybe Suede ahead of Blur if you discount the post-Bernard stuff, which is largely bobbins.
Easy peasy!
1. Pulp. Four flawless albums.
2. Suede. First and second album magnificent, third a load of fun, everything else gash.
3. Blur. Never released an album as good as His n' Hers or Suede. Plus Damon Albarn is a tit.
For me...
Suede
Pulp
Blur
Ah, youth...
pulp...
then blur, then suede.
hmmm
suede two and a bit genius albums, and so so many goooooooood times
pulp many ace singles, that 'best of ' bombing still surprises me
all bands (bar the Wombats)
blur three good singles + are wankers
The Wombats
Blur then Pulp then Suede
blur (for think tank)
pulp (for this is hardcore)
. .
. .
. .
. suede
tricky one

Suede are one of my favourite bands ever
Dog Man Star is the greatest album ever.
Jarvis Cocker's a brilliant lyricist.
I never really cared for Blur. Some great songs but just not a band I've ever been in any way passionate about.
I have to go with the original post:
Suede
Pulp
Blur
maybe Anderson
would strangle Albarn. Cocker might not be that good in a fight, they would break his glasses. Blur guys might be drunk so that would give the others an edge. But in the end Pulp might win it, as the the others would not be willing to beat up a girl and she would kick them all.
Blur
Blur
Blur
and then Blur again.
then Mansun
and then back to Blur.
Hindsight changes everything.
At the time: Suede, Blur, Pulp.
Now: Blur, Suede, Pulp (although Suede and Pulp are a very long way behind Blur.)
Easy...
Rialto
My Life Story
These Animal Men
..
pulp
the others i couldn't care less for.
Suede
Pulp
Blur
in that order. Never saw Blur live. Not sure I missed much, tbh.
For me:
Suede
Pulp
Blur
Seeing pulp, blur and suede
written in a different order by different people = slightly lame thread.
PULP
suede
blur
i agree
with you, but anyway i may as well cast my vote...
PULP
blur
suede
pulp > suede > blur
fo' sho'
pulp pulp pulp pulp
pulp pulp pulp
anyone who thinks anything else is wrong
Suede - EASILY
i liked all three.
But Suede - Suede, Dog Man Star and Sci Fi Lullabies are three of my all time fave albums.
Then it's Blur - Modern Life Is Rubbish, Park Life, The Great Escape, Blur - all awesome albums.
For me Pulp come 3rd. His N Hers and Different Class are good but not as good as Suede's or Blurs output.
Sorry.
i reckon....
Blur
Pulp
Suede
Firstly i was never that impressed by most of Suedes output. Blur have made some great records (13, Blur) but also have a fair bit of shite (Parklife). Pulp are in parts brilliant.
