none as yet. They played in Oxford at the end of last term but I didn't go because I didn't really know any of their songs, and it was raining a lot. I felt stupid about 2 weeks later when I actually listened to their myspace properly.
Whenever he plays in Bristol - at The Croft in particular - he seems to be paired up with bands that have no connection with him whatsoever. I always really enjoy it because you never quite know what's coming next and variety is good!
I saw them support Los Campesinos, and I thought they were, you know, pretty good. I agree that they're better than the Beatles, but then who isn't these days?
I loved it, JoFo where wicked but The Mae-Shi brought the crazyness, played the gig in the crowd for the most part and me and some mates ended up on the stage at the end dancing and playing there insturments hehe.
Such a shame, both bands were completely stunning - I ended up wearing the Mae Shi's giant sheet for half the gig, dancing around like a loony ghost. My friends were a bit freaked out though - "THEY'RE BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL!"
...and counting. twice in brum and at the dis night in sheff. shall be seeing them again at the end of the month in northampton and then at a day at the races in manc. need a regular fix of them!
I first saw them when they supported Blood Red Shoes at the latter's first Birmingham gig - then at Black Horse when they played with Mills And Boon, and King Edward Inn, so that's three, but I don't think I've seen them for a year.
1. Supporting Jeniferever @ Flapper & Firkin, Brum, 3 (?) years ago
2. Supporting LC! Birmingham Academy 2, a few months ago
3. Headlining: Oxford Jericho, a bit after that (march?)
4. (the aforementioned) Birmingham Rainbow All Dayer (april?)
Favourite was probably Oxford 'cause people where there to see them.

Heh
I have the same thing with seeing Kid Carpet on account of living in Bristol.
Johnny Foreigner, on the other hand, I've only seen once, supporting Young Knives. They were great.
supported him once....
most bizzare line-up ever...
Where/when?

10? Wow, you win, surely
I saw them support Los Campesinos, and I thought they were, you know, pretty good. I agree that they're better than the Beatles, but then who isn't these days?

It was supporting Young Knives
I won't be bothering to see them again
I thought they were terrible
I clearly just don't get them then
well you like the young knives
so i don't suppose you would get them.

suporting the ace The Mae-Shi this week. Quality gig even if there wasn't many people there all the bands where ace and well up for a laugh.
Was that Cambridge?
I was there, the one time I've seen JoFo, and for what it's worth I thought it was amazing.
It was the night after in York
I loved it, JoFo where wicked but The Mae-Shi brought the crazyness, played the gig in the crowd for the most part and me and some mates ended up on the stage at the end dancing and playing there insturments hehe.
Ah, is there a general lack of audience all over the place?
Such a shame, both bands were completely stunning - I ended up wearing the Mae Shi's giant sheet for half the gig, dancing around like a loony ghost. My friends were a bit freaked out though - "THEY'RE BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL!"

Once
Supporting Sky Larkin at Spitz... discounting band members and staff there were about 10 people there. Awesome gig though.
But
I'll be seeing them again at Lounge on the Farm in July
Saw them once and that's enough
Won't bother with them again. Although they weren't as bad as These New Puritans.
Hmm
I first saw them when they supported Blood Red Shoes at the latter's first Birmingham gig - then at Black Horse when they played with Mills And Boon, and King Edward Inn, so that's three, but I don't think I've seen them for a year.

Just the once, headlining RoTa. They never seem to play at convenient times/places.
Eh?
They play at places around Birmingham and finish in time for the last buses.
Incredible scenes
Once.
You've just reminded me I was supposed to review that gig. Sheeyit.

Afterwards I walked up to Alexei and blurted out "you're really really good" to which he replied "nice sonic shirt".
