Its so weird with this band: the "came out" along with bloc party and futureheads and all that lot like 2004 or something, right? Whereas the other bands have got worse, Hot chip have got completely exponentially better but recieved very little RESPEK for it.
Although I havn't got any albums, i'm purely basing this on the singles. Their recent singles are all pure gold.

Hot Chip
are damn good, but I just can't seemto love them for some reason. Maybe I need to see them live to get on board more. They have some really good tunes but the albums on the whole are a little hit n miss. The only tune I truly love of theirs is the Erol Alkan remix of boy from school.

others are just very very dull. Especially some of the slow ones on the new album.

Made in the dark, In The Privacy Of Our Love are some of the best on the album. Could probably have lost a couple of songs off the album though. I agree they seem to have got better with each album.

was it alice bell? i wouldn't say they got exponentially better, but its a vast improvement from when i bought Coming on Strong which made me laugh at times, but not because it was bad.

The Warning is brilliant,
listened to Made in the Dark a couple times then got a bit bored of it to be honest..singles are good on it though.

It's alright but I can't help thinking they could just do it better and make it more a lot more intense than it actually is.
I have both The Warning and Made in the Dark
and find I very rarely listen to either album at one sitting. Some of the singles and excellent though.

they're a band who i really want to like
but i just can't bring myself to like them. I got 'The Warning' when it came out based on the strength of the single and what everyone was saying about it and just found it very very underwhelming and dull. I can't be bothered with the new album. Don't think I'm missing out on that much however.
