Due to work being rubbish, all the June/ July festivals are out of the question... so, me and the missis were considering Big Chill. Anyone been? Any cop? The line up looks passable.

yeah

i went year before last, but it was a bit much...

a bit much?

in monetary terms? or something else?

oh no

my joke has fallen horribly flat.
i'm sorry if you misunderstood me.

(backs away)

can i blame it on monday morning?

or am i generally just a bit basic?

and, by the way...

i still don't get it...

peep show joke?

ahhhh. silly me.

anyone want to say something constructive? not that i'm not a fan of peep show references, or owt.

chillout festival

unlikely to be a bit much

I went

2004. A great site and good variety of stuff on. It seems to me they are having to push it a bit more this year with a few big names whereas they relied on the rep the past couple of years, which can only be good- as long as they haven't upped the capacity hideously.

Yup - been thrice...

wouldn't mind going every year if i could afford it. It's probably one of the best festies Ive ever been to, and to be honest, the worse the line-up, the better the festival. It's not really a music festival, it's just a damn good party in one of the most beautiful settings of any festival - when you walk up the hill and get to the top, the view of the lake, the castle and the whole valley is incredible, especially after a bit of chemical sustenance!!

One word of warning, however, there is always a high rate of posh young parents there and fashion victims. More so than Glastonbury (or 'Glasto' as they no doubt call it). As a result, there can be high rate of stuff getting knicked from tents (or rather, Gazebos and Motor homes!) so be careful. Also, don't let the yuppies piss you off, and it'll be juuust grand.

sterling advice Wombat

thanks mate.

Brilliant festival

Went last year and as has been said already don't worry too much about the line-up. The only band I wanted to see was New Young Pony Club, but ended up missing them as was having such a good time else where. Lovely atmosphere, loads of space, beautiful site. Go!
