I was only there 24 hours, but you can't really complain when those 24 hours include Dirty Projectors, Deerhunter, Balck Lips and A Place to Bury Strangers.

The atmosphere was totally rad too due to the amazing weather.

I'm annoyed that I can't remember LSV's improvised closer properly. Something about lambs to the slaughter at Camber sands, can anyone remember how it went, it's bugging me!

Sleeping for a week now though...

cacked all over everyone else! They were definitely my favourite. Many other bands were good though. Strangely enough. Also it was boiling all the time and there was a crazy barman who had been working for far too long smashing glasses on the floor and talking nonsense.

Some highlights for you there.

Look in the programme right. Have they photoshopped the small guy from Hot Chip and made him look even smaller? Is someone taking the michael?

ATP and was by far the best. Amazing bands. Amazing people. Amazing times.

I didn't realise Caribou were so f*cking amazing live. Really enjoyed Times New Viking, Meat Puppets, Ween, No Age and Les Savy Fav.

Was a little letdown by Sebadoh who really didn't appear to enjoy being there!

Now to the small matter of a final year uni exam tomorrow morning :S :S

The diversity in moods (always posetive) from night to night and general generoisty and approachablility of the majority made it really fun. Wether it was sitting in the pirate ship or sweating at the club it always felt right.

Complaint though, Camber Sands should really sort out the Air Con upstairs... it was actually quite dangerously hott.. especially during acts such as Les Savy Fav and Los Campesinos.

In short, I loved it... the food was really good value as well which shocked me as festivals are never known for fairly priced foods.

My faviroute aspect as usual at festivals is the lounging around in the sun... being in your own little bubble.. as soon as I saw 'Welcome To Brighton & Hove' a lil part of me died as my bubble burst :( O well

Im deffinatly going to Nightmare Before Christmas now.

the rest was pretty decent too though.

It's already taken on a kind of nostalgic glow in the memory... Nice to meet whoever I met, sorry if I bit, insulted or kissed you.

But there was soooooo much else to like.

A nice little dananananaykroyd shout out by No Age, oldish man from the next town over from me (clydebank!?) saying that the only pills he was on all weekend were beta-blockers. Also how fat women tempt him with ecstacy at parties and asking his friend, if he wanted to get his nephew any drugs for the weekend, would he have to pre-order them. Does anyone know this man?

My 4th ATP and the best by miles. Unbelievable how much difference the weather made, but meant I didn't really watch any bands I didn't already know for fear of sweating giant holes in my clothes...

Hot Chip, Hold Steady, Les Savy Fav, Meat Puppets, Jay Reatard, and Of Montreal killed it.

Sitting round a fire on the beach at 4am on Sunday Morning with a bunch of people + Black Mountain while Tim Harrington went on the search for more firewood was also pretty exciting!

Friday:
Firstly, did I just get served by Jamie Summers? Was that him on the ticket stall?
Jay Reatard sounded good (3 flying V's!). Vampire Weekend were terifically dull. why o why has noone talked about Shit and Shine??!!! Geniune contender for set of the weekend, (where the hell is Mug x3?). They were the heaviest sounding band for sure and I loved them without hearing much stuff before. Definately gonna check out some records. Spoke to the dude from the band and he recommended "Cherry".

Saturday:
Times New Viking sounded so much better live than on record. I like the fact that they play pop songs and have their guitar set for noise. Good stuff.
Got a perfect view of Howlin Rain right infront of Ethan Miller and it was a treat to see someone shred to the max, he can f**king play.
Les Savy Fav was hilarious for us because my mate got given that Pink Panther suit from Tim after he had been wearing it, and he proceeded to put it on and wear it for the rest of the night. It was returned to its rightful owner the following day I believe.

Sunday:
The day I was really looking forward to. A place to bury strangers were ace, liked the moody lights and then the stobes too.
Pissed Jeans were good, as were Wooden Shjips (I like the fact that they're songs are about 9 to 10 minutes long). New No Age songs sounded great, chatted to Randy after, he's a dude.
Finishing with Girls Against Boys (I couldn't get a decent view of Meat Puppets) and they played Learned It!!! One of the songs of the weekend, a classic and great way to see it out.

Highlights were No Age, Times New Viking, Los Campesinos!, Fuck Buttons, Les Savy Fav & Harmonia.
