did anyone go on that sort of ghost ride/thing where you and a few people enter a spaceship with huge aliens running around and attacking? you got led around by a soldier and the lift breaks and the huge alien BREAKS IN AND HE SHOOTS HIM! I went on it at the SECC, really good but too short.
thanks pops

what?

i've been on haunted hay rides. is that sort of the same thing?

nope

oh, where to begin with this one? it is a time-honored tradition. my girl scout troop went on one every year around Halloween. it's where you go to like a farm site or whatever at night and they've got a hay wagon filled up with hay and drawn by a tractor, and everyone gets on it and they drive through fields and orchards and stuff and people dressed up as scary things jump out at the wagon and scare the shit out of the little kids. (and still me, honestly, if i were to go on one now. i am a ridiculously easy scare.) we always had apple cider at the end of ours. (a non-alcoholic drink, not like whatever cider is over there and in canada--though we've got that stuff available here too i think)

now i really want to go on one again this year

no

but in a very tenuously linked rides-at-the-secc story, once i went on one of those things that spin round and pin you to the wall with CENTRIFUGAL FORCE and there was this hard-man ned on it and for some bizarre reason he had a tiny toy teddy in his pocket and it flew out of his pocket and landed on my shoulder and he shouted "GEEZ MA TEDDY" but i couldn't give him his teddy because i was pinned to the wall and it was simultaneously hilarious and frightening because he kind of looked like he might knife me if he didn't get his teddy back sharpish.

that story was better in my head.

that's a great story

!!!

hahahah

10/10, would read again.

read again.

LOLed.

That's incredible

And somehow only something I can imagine happening in Glasgow.

There is no such thing as centrifugal force.

It is called centripetal force.

I stopped reading after that because I was so completely outraged.

Debatable

oh

i was about to say, "BUT WIKIPEDIA SAYS OTHERWISE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centrifugal_force"

and then i noticed that there is a paragraph at the top explaining that the following article is about something which does not exist. helpful.

anyway, my story > physics

amazing

amazing amazing. :D

Didn't this used to be at the Trocadero

I missed it I'm afraid. In parts of the US on Halloween they have old houses / quiet country areas where you pay for people with chainsaws and masks chase you about in the dark.

i went to one in london

the haunted dungeon. it was awful.

yeah

it was at the trocadero. i was always too young to go in it, but it looked like the scariest thing ever. Now the trocadero has a new scariest thing ever though, the old segaworld escalators to NOWHERE.
