I think i've tried to before
but maybe not by starting a thread. Ace aren't they? Found them thru last.fm about 6 months ago, then got the daytrotter session and the album before it was rereleased over here. Saw them last week in Brum, great to see two drummers totally synchronised in the flesh, one of them seemed to be having the time of his life! Really enjoyed them, even though there were only about 30 people there. Hope they get a bit more press and success...

when i saw them in fav it wasn't remotely packed. i interviewed them and they were a bit pissed at their lack of recognition. i'll post the interview soon, they said some good stuff. i really like them.

Only caught the last couple of songs, a witty bloke on keyboards and vocals and a drummer I think. Made some quips about the White Rabbits and had a great keyboard sound goin on.That him?

I discovered them through metacritic last year
Based on a high score and some delicious artwork I decided to check them out...and yeah, they're pretty awesome. Sound like The Walkmen, except these guys seem to be having some fun in the process.
Album is ok
Another 7/10 indie band for me though.
How long have they been around for?
I knew The Automatic at school (not that I'm a fan of their music or anything), back when they were called White Rabbit - when they were picked up a label they had to change the name, presumably because another group was already called that - I assume it was these guys?

The LP is great. I think they should be bigger than they are, certainly.

I thought the album was so-so, but 'The Plot' was one of the best songs of 2007 for me
