Im not into them at all bar one song 'Idiot 45s' Which is absolutely fantastic...any fans here? If so, do they have anymore songs like that or did they just strike it lucky with that one?

anyone?
hmmm youd probably get on with their early stuff
better than their later stuff. earlier stuff is slightly less on the traditional melodic songs and more textural stuff.
first two albums are the ones to look for.
theres some excellent stuff among the peel sessions on this page:

Ta lad!
There's also a Best Of
called Bust The Trunk which cherrypicks very well, but for a single album I'd go One Head Two Arms Two Legs.
Have they...
done more traditional song-based stuff since those first few albums then? The first album was great but the follow-up was a bit mad as I recall, and then I kind of lost touch with them. Heard good things about their more recent stuff though.
Great band.
Their best of is absolutely amazing ( but I love all their albums ).
Paul Vickers released an album recently with the Leg ( ex Khaya, Desc )

Paul Vickers & The Leg
The Replicants are still going, and lead singer Paul Vickers has just done an album with Edinburgh art rockers The Leg, called Tropical Favorites - it's fantastic and it's out now - I should know I released it.
have a taste www.myspace.com/paulvickersandtheleg
it's more than a bit mad i'd say.
The replicants are recording a Moondog cover for an album we're putting together and there may well be a 6th album from the replicants next year
