No

and yes

i use it.

'cause i travel a lot. i like to listen to my radio when on other people's laptops.

i mainly use it

so that i can listen to my music at work/when i go other places. one of my friends logs in to my account too to listen to my stuff.
i think the recent visitor thing is a bit rubbish though. that just makes me paranoid.

you can see who's looking at you page

but no one ever does

Depends how much you use it.

It is interesting to see how much you listen to stuff every now and then, but it won't change your life, or make it any better/worse.

A lot of people seem to like the gig calendar thing to inform them of what they should be doing.

I didn't even know about the recentvisitor thing, but I have no friends so it shouldn't matter!

I already have last.fm

There's a subscriber option which you pay for, and it gives you some extra features, like the recent visitor thing...

Oh

I didn't even know that was possible.

Sounds like a con to me though.

MP3 player is surely better than your own radio? And unless some really hot girl checks out your page, who cares about recent visitors...right?

I dunno.

The radio sounds like the kind of thing that'd be good for when I'm too lazy to choose individual songs/albums, or aren't too sure what I want to listen to.

And before everyone goes OMGZ USE SHUFFLE, I'd argue that Last.fm has a tendency to choose an artist's better songs to play randomly, unlike standard shuffle that plays filler songs and crap too often. I imagine it means the amount of times you have to skip a song is reduced, which is good.

Yeah.

what extra features are there

other than the visitor view thingie?
it's not very well advertised on the website (or i'm just blind and can't find it)

You can access all the other radio stations and stuff

if you're not a sub then you can't really go on many.

I imagine the ability to listen to your own radio is quite cool.

I'm not a subscriber, but I'm quite tempted. So I'll be watching this thread with interest...

Does anyone remember

When they gave out free subscriptions about 3 or 4 years back?

Aye, them were the days.

I subscribed for a bit this year when I had some spare paypal money. It's worth it if you use the radio/streaming a lot because it loads faster and never skips or stops. Plus obviously you can spy on people spying on you.
