yes and yes
Back Says in Yellow
Flower Sniffin
Kitty Pettin
Baby Kissin
Corporate Rock
Whores .....was it?
i forget
In Utero
is fucking amazing as is Bleach however I find Nevermind a bit nauseating. Listening to it feels like trying to eat an extremely rich gateux and after a couple of mouthfuls you end up pushing it away if you know what i mean? There are some tunes (Terratorial Pissings) on it but it was overplayed for me by people I know.
Well I'm currently
being force fed Sharleen Spiteri on Jools....pissing is apt when it comes to her. Utter pissing.
Nevermind is ace
yes.
You sound suprised?
Yes, they are the greatest band ever. Fact.
Fuck yes
Just sheer brilliance, no-one can pick a hole in their output, i could listen to even just their rarities for ever...
Yeah they were pretty good.
Serve The Servants
"teenage angst has paid off well/Now i'm bored & old" is one of the best opening lines to an album ever!
My Son is watching the "With The Lights Out" DVD right now
He's schoolin some of his friends.
: )

kurt
was a confused blokey it can seem. on a true childs mission like bolan. bolan looked up to dylan for integrity and then was like, 'fuck it, glitter'. kurt was loved REM for their angle on art and forever, and then was like 'fuck it, heroin, baggies, courtney, im gonna quit, oh wait, theyre gonna get me'. what a couple of legends. fuck it is the phrase rock n roll has lost.
Krist Novoselic
is a dude.
nirvana were
genius
my favourite band of all time
their smiley t-shirts
were made to last. bought mine in 1992, still wear it today.
a couple of years later got a long sleeved in utero one (about 1994) that one only lasted until about 2001.
they still come second to Neds t-shirts, i still wear one that has 1989 tour dates down the arm!
"they were actually fucking brilliant were'nt they?"
That should silence the endless rhetoric of doubters. Thank god there are DiSsers around to point out the bleeding obvious to everyone.
That said
there has certainly been a backlash in the last few years.
sorry
i should have said
'where to start with fucking radiohead'
'arent radiohead wonderful'
'radiohead- discuss'
Radiohead (great-centric)
Radiohead NEWS!- the b side to their new single is now 2 seconds longer than previously
thom yorke felt the change would accurately address issues of climate change.
I can't be doing
with all this Radiohead nonsense.
nah.....
not fucking brilliant, just good. but its a matter of opinion isn't it.
in utero is my favourite album :)
Damn, talk about a love-in!
But then, this is a website where many people rate Pinkerton at more than 5/10, so, y'know...
i saw an old man
maybe about 60 or maybe even 70 with a nirvana hoodie on the other day in leamington, he looked awesome! I wish he was my grandad.
rating pinkerton anything less than 10 would be completely insane
.
normally I can diferentiate between opinion and fact but in the case of pinkerton it is fact, if you are into alt/indierock and think it is only average then you obviously cant have listened to it much
it is just a perfect album
But you're only 19 anyway?
I've never been fussed by Nirvana, beyond Bleach or bits of In Utero. Coincidence that I dislike them once Dave Grohl joined?
Pearl Jam = win.
yeah i know
but im a bit older. im not really very much like i was when i was 16 or something. 3 years is a bigger difference when you are a teenager
I know
courting controversy innit. Gotta while away the hour til kick-off at Wembley somehow. Getting dressed and going to the supermarket would also be a good way to do this, but I am not that kinda guy.
No, I am the kinda guy who stayed up until 7:30am playing GTAIV and woke up at 1pm.
Incidentally
DO you like PJ?
They're quite good too, obviously...
i havent listened to them as much actually
i saw them a bit at reading a few years ago and had a listen through that, but beyond that not so much. maye i should.
fair enough, im meant to be getting ready to go out but i just cant be arsed really.
As a 'completely gay for them' fan
I'd say, to you, the not so sure fan, just make sure you listen to Ten and Vs. and then after that it's dependent on what sort of thing you like. They were only grunge for one album really. Vs. is a bit all over the place but is a bit punky, a bit pop, or something, Vitalogy and No Code are guys dicking about to mixed results (mostly good, at the very least, imo), then Yield and Binaural are balls-out/balls-up rock, Riot Act is... I don't know what Riot Act is. An album of protest songs. And the last album is rock out, but a little bit cheesy. Almost. Still really good though.
Also, if you can get a copy, Live At Benaroya Hall is AMAZING.
Also
that's the most objective I can be about Pearl Jam.
nice one
ill listen to ten and vs. then report back!
Cool
cool.
Stop being a loser and trying to inflict
Pearl Jam on everyone. Fucktherave had innocent ears before you started talking.
;-)
pearlm jam
better than nirvana? hahahahaha.
Let's meet up and fight.
It's almost a moot point, really, considering one made twice as many albums as the other because, well, the singer didn't die.
I used to like them growing up in the 90's n'all
but I can honestly say that none of their songs meaning anything to me anymore beyond nostalgia, there are few things that will make me change the tv chanel quicker than a nirvana video coming on, shame
In Utero is my favourite
Don't like much else by them, but that and Bleach are awesome.
I'M A NEGATIVE CREEP I'M A NEGATIVE CREEP I'M A NEGATIVE CREEP I'M A NEGATIVE CREEP I'M A NEGATIVE CREEP I'M A NEGATIVE CREEP
