What's peoples verdict on this young talent? I think she is very promising, no doubt there will be an automatic hatred for her as she is an talent that is good enough and accessible enough to have some kinda of mainstream success. Lets just love her for her music please.
If you've not heard her, id best describe her as a mix mash of joan baez and nina nastasia with her own element of british wit in her songwriting.

It's not that she's mainstream enough for success,
and to be honest I don't think her music is that mainstream at all nor is it even an issue, it's just I think she's a bit boring to listen to.
I wouldn't doubt that she's as talented as anyone else who can pick up a guitar and write a song, but her songs are a bit, you know, zzzzzZZZZ-top

I think she is quite overrated. Clearly a good singer, and a nice guitarist, but the songs lack something for me. But then, she is very young, and I'm sure will get better. It's nice, just not particularly original

It's got some fantastic songs and a couple of weak ones, but yeah, she's great and I'm sure she'll release some brilliant albums in the future

nothing that special, but good voice, decent arrangements, and the occasional stunning lyric... listening to her is a cringe-free experience, which cannot be said about most 'singer songwriters'
