I'm off to here Alex James talk about his book in Brighton tonight.

"Find out how Blur bass player called a halt on his well-documented party life and became a reformed eco-campaigner, organic advocate, broadcaster, journalist and part-time astrophysicist."

This could be really interesting or really really boring. I hope he talks more about Blur than cheese.

Cheese is guranteed

It's Alex after all. He's intelligent enough to realise that people'll be more interested in the Blur stuff.

Have fun. Wish I could go :(

*the Blur stuff tho.

I'd expect to hear a bit about what he's doing now, but quite a bit more about the music era (which does make up most of his book).

Have you read the book or is it not out yet?

All sounds a bit 'beardy'. I wonder how much of the audience will be there for the subject matter and how many, like you, will sat there just thinking "PHWOOARRR!!!".

:D

i dont know if it's some sort of act

but alex james is consistently one of the dullest people i've ever come across...rather you than me!

I reckon it will be interesting

Would liked to have gone but i'm ultra skint

will do.

oooh I hope there's a Q&A slot.

Do you think my question could be

"Alex will you please sign all these Blur albums that I have brought along?".

It could be

But he and I would prefer the Cheese question

but when his hair is flopping

in his face I can sit back and pretend it's 1995 . . . and that I am still 13. I was always in the Damon camp anyway. It's the mate I'm going with who is a big Alex fan.

oh I love Graham too

don't get me wrong.

poor old ginger Dave

poor old ginger Dave

I enjoyed it

and I met him afterwards and got the book signed. I forgot to ask about cheese dreams, sorry.

Bitch

Was he on good form?

Fit in real life?

Yes

and yes, kinda, like I said before I was always in the Damon camp, but he came off as a really nice guy. Do you realise he turns 40 this year? Weird.

Our heroes are getting old

which means...

Just wait til they start dying.

:(

thanks for cheering up my day.

He wrote 'cheers Sarah love Alex' in the book, except it looks like 'cheese Sarah' and like a 5 year old has written it.

He probably did write

"cheese". Got it on the brain.

Did he sign your Blur albums too?

Or were you too scared to ask about that?

I didn't take them with

I already have a signed single and setlist for ages ago. That will do for me.

Ooh! Hark at her!

:)
