I'm thinking along the lines of Raw Power by The Stooges, Kick Out The Jams by MC5 and (relatively) more recently Supershitty to the Max by The Hellacopters.
PS the following bands are banned from this thread: Jet, The D4, The Datsuns.

the Cramps are the kings of trash
and dukes of scuzz
they're not quite as propulsive as the Stooges or MC5 though, more like "skagged out arrhythmia"
Where first album-wise
with The Cramps?
Off The Bone
is a collection of the best of their early stuff, and it's pretty much faultless. I wouldn't normally recommend a compilation and that, but OTB is the ultimate Cramps record
Nice!
I'll get involved.
someone needs to do
a skagged out arrhythmia last.fm tag radio station.
I'm on with making a little mixtape compilation that is pretty scuzzy the track list is
No Age - Things I Did When I Was Dead
Wildildlife - Things Will Grow
Abe Vigoda - Dead City/Waste Wilderness
Yeasayer - 2080
a.P.A.t.T - Avajibber
Bornruffians - Hummingbird
BARR - the Songs Is the Single
The Black Lips - Katrina
Ghetto Cross - Dog Years
Atlas Sound - Pure UnEvil (Liars Cover)
Pictureplane - Day Glowwed
Fucked Up - Stress (Justice Cover)
Bon Iver - Lump Sum
I know some of that aint at all scuzzy but what the heck.
That Atlas Sound cover
of Liars is amazing.
In fact, pretty much the whole mixtape is amazing. Good work.
Monoshock!
http://www.last.fm/music/Monoshock
Try 'I took you to it baby' on there to start if you want!
Also Cows, the best band of all time
http://www.last.fm/music/Cows
Flipper too.

Supersuckers
Backyard Babies

Alex-in-Ciderland tells me
I would like Supersuckers. What's their best album?
They ain't
particularly "scuzzy". Straight up good-time barroom rock'n'roll with average tunes. If you insist on getting a record of theirs, pretty much anything 1995-1998 is OK.
black lips
earlY
Sonic Youth ? (this my become my default answer to all questions.)
Black Flag?

Awesome Colour - S/T
Lovvers
The Ponys
THIN FUCKING LIZZY
Live and Dangerous.
Also, all the Bon Scott era AC/DC records. Particularly Dirty Deeds. If you delete Big Balls from it, it's pretty much a perfect record.

You should
Have a go at Shock Troops by Cocksparrer.... Oi but dead rock and roll and completely fucking awesome.
come on everybody lets rock by oneida
i was listening to this earlier and rocking out around the room. Totally different to all their other albums, (in the sense it has very little organ, and the songs are pretty much just straight up rock and roll songs) but no less awesome.
The Great Northern Whalekill
by Minus
Also add Halldor Laxness
to that list!
Action Swingers
from the early 90s, led by Ned Hayden and featuring amongst others Julia Cafritz (Pussy Galore, Free Kitten), Bob Bert (Sonic Youth) and J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr). Check out the self-titled debut album or the More Fast Numbers EP.
A lot of those
things mentioned ain't what I'd describe as 'scuzzy', but then I rarely use the word...
The Oblivians were good. Popular Favourites includes all your party-time classics.
Crunt - crunt
Mudhoney - Superfuzz bigmuff
^^oh yay oh yay^^
to the Bigmuff!!
The Cramps first two albums are the best, Songs The Lord Taught Us and Psychedelic Jungle.
If you want a great compilation then get Rough Trades Rock N Roll one as it features the likes of MC5, Stooges, Dirtbombs, Pussy Galore, Bad Seeds, Royal Trux, Saints, Boss Hog, Modern Lovers, Rocket From The Tombs (& Crypt), Gories, JSBX, Clinic. It's fucking great trashy scuzzed out rock n roll!!
Deltahead - deltahead
But only for 'don't move to Finland', 'My mama was too lazy to pray' and 'I smile at you'.
New Bomb Turks...
..Supersuckers, Mudhoney, RFTC, Holly Golightly, Nebula
Royal Trux.
The defintion of.
