very good, Animal in care, Beehive, Language city are amazing, really grown on me, looking forward to actual release, end of month i think & a tour would be nice!
The first album was great. Sunset Rubdown are great (including the new stuff they played last mont). Handsome Furs are great. All the other Wolf Parade side projects are pretty great. At Mount Zoomer is a bit rubbish though. I was expecting it to continue their long lineage of awesome music :(
Krug sings the same melodies and some of the same lines as in another song he did with Subtle - Middleclass Haunt, suppose it may have already been a Wolf Parade song first...
I wont say its rubbish just yet.... It always takes me a while with Wolf Parade to love them. Its pretty avrage compared to the ace last one though so far for me. I have played it quite a bit too.
it took a while but i love it so much. it's certainly more "pop" or "accessible" than apologies but i personally don't think that's a bad thing. after 3 listens i was hooked. i can't wait to see them in july.
The set the bar high, only to fall well short with this record. I agree with Glen_Chap above, I ain't been so disappointed by a record in a while time. Not since the second Art Brut album probably.
Nah, it really really isn't.
At all
yes, it really really is

^ this is wrong
it's ok. But only ok.
its very average
not even close to as good as their first
Its pretty avrage unfortunatly :(
maybe its a grower but hell its taking its time.
this makes me sad :(
me to :(
I am disapointed by it and I love the first one ever so much.
I hope I'm wrong and I grow to love it.
Yeah I hoping it might be a grower
I continue to live in hope
I don't get it

I'm really worried now.
Haven't heard it but I really like Call it a Ritual.
It isn't out
but it is really really good
:)
yay!
in the first track

hate to be a pedant
but thats boeckner you are talking about there.
I like the album but its not as good as the first.
yeah you're right
dunno why i said Krug
I think it's out
on June 16th, not too sure.
It's really really good, it took me a while but I really enjoy it... just as much as the first
California Dream is awesome tune :D
that is one of the good uns yeah

I think I may need to give it a couple of listens,
but my first impression was that it was pretty average. Not bad or good. I have only listened to it the once though.
Maybe the leak isn't the fully mastered and finished artical
and it is acctualy ace that would be well cool.
The broken social scene presents Brendan Canning was a un-mastered version so this might be to its been around for ages....
I bought the mastered version of that
IT RULES
cool
I'm looking forward to the CD coming out esspecialy if its even better sounding I liked it lots anyway.
It's enjoyable
but yeah, compared to Apologies, this one's pretty average
it's alright.
but their other stuff is better.
love it

more pop or accessible?
I though Appologies To The Queen Marry has more catchy tunes on it that where quicker to get in your brain.
Very poor
I haven't been this disappointed in an album in a long time.
It's pretty good
imo, not as good as Apologies and not enough fast paced songs but still pretty good.
Pretty pretty pretty good.
Bit of a mixed response
If it was metacritic it would probably be 67%
For what its worth i still only have lukewarm feelings for both Handsome Furs and Sunset Rubdown.
But the first Wolf Parade album is mind-bogglingly brilliant, probably one of the albms of the 00s.
Just disappointing
The set the bar high, only to fall well short with this record. I agree with Glen_Chap above, I ain't been so disappointed by a record in a while time. Not since the second Art Brut album probably.
It's just that Apologies... is so good
and this really isn't. It's not even close.
Nail on head
.
I can't believe
the reception this album is getting on here. It is totally brilliant.
Still, nothing on Random Spirit Lover though.
The Grey Estates is good
I think.
I've only listened to it once
but I was a bit underwhelmed on that listen, but I'll still be buying it when it comes out. Fingers crossed it's a grower.
