I think i recognise the name and saw alot of praise on here for them. Just asking as my mate's just asked me to go see them at 13th Note tonight.

Description? Worth going?

I saw them at ROTA in April

Wasn't overly impressed, tbh.

I saw them last Friday at Industry in East London - they were very tight some good tunes and technically sound but were blown away on the night by Eat Lights;Become Lights who were on before them

...

Are you kidding me? Eat Lights were the worst band I've seen in so long. Their songs just kept going and going with no point whatsoever behind them. And though I appreciate them trying to do that thing where you have long songs that all flow into each other, in reality this just means that all their tunes are in the same tempo, the same key and mostly using similar rhythms. In concolusion: Terrible. Terrible. Boring. Terrible.

...the bassist allegedly looked like a white Snoop Dogg though. Some consolation.

ah, s'alright - the name is the correct one

that i recognised, so i shall be going.

It should only be a few bucks, i suspect

i think they're really good

lazy description would be post rocky (no, not 'Daylight'), but it's mainly instrumental rock based, with bits of electronica. Interesting but also emotional I guess.

Definitely worth a look though.

Have a listen to

their (very quiet!) session tracks from the weekend to help make up your mind:

The volume levels are very strange though, be warned!

When I saw them

one of them was wearing combat trousers.

^this

they're reet good, but dress like semi-aussie surfers...!

i've seen them a few times

including last week. yes they are good, i'm waiting to hear the record before i say too much more, as i've always been under an influence when i've seen them.

one of the guitarists takes too many steroids

really?!?!

ummm. Pete (the blonde one)? none of them sem particularly built or small of testicle. Hell, I reckon I could take a random combo of any two of them.

...

I call that one Mr Intensity. Kinda reminds me of Mark Speight.

They blew me away at Live At Leeds

They're sort of like 65dos without loads of electronics, they use two drum kits at some points which is just incredible, and as someone's said they're quite emotional, not just stale instrumental stuff. Well worth seeing.

very good

but everything will probably be late because they take a decade to set up. two drums, lots of equipment, possibly a flugel horn.

Pretty good

Definately worth going to see live.

Loud post/ambient-rock.

Great band.

Probably one of the best to come out of Leeds. However they are horrible horrible people especially the bass player. He eats children.

this is entirely true

don't bring your kids with you.

Maddy

was last seen at a Vessels gig.

That's a little known fact

plus martin speaks portuguese

i'll let you fill in the rest

(he can actually speak portuguese)

they are a great band

i actually find they are more enjoyable under the influence, otherwise i do find them a bit dry sometimes.

really strong musicians though.

Very good

I saw them at Luminaire a couple of months ago and purchased their excellent EP. Nice guys do play rock n roll.

...

Yes. They own.

i like them

and i'm fucking ace so.......
