Khan is really really good, as are her band

I like her/them, but i've not exactly seen a ubiquity of 5-star reviews for either album or live show

And that neatly coincides with my assessment.

So, no, in other words.

personally, i love her album and have been impressed each time i've seen her live. so i think i rate her about as highly as i'd want to rate her.

very strong album overall, with a few blinders. one of the best of last year. The ubiquitouis 'they' are not overrating BFL.

The album is pretty good, but I wasn't that impressed live, although I think the size of the venue might have contributed to that

I was a little dissapointed when i first heard the album purely because her live show was so amazing and BIG sounding.

But now i'm really into it and i think she is awesome.

I was pretty tempted at one point after hearing a couple of the tunes.

I thought you were referring to the hordes of 14 year-old Natasha-lookalikes (which I'd mentally dubbed "Lashers" rather than "Batties") which now seem to be attending her gigs, although they do have the advantage that if you are 6'2" and are standing 30 feet back from the stage, you still have a totally unobstructed view.

It's interesting how she's re-arranged the songs recently, presumably so they work better in a larger venue (anticipating the Radiohead gigs). Generally, the new arrangements work pretty well.
