I listened to this by chance to the first time in ages and was blown away.
I still reckon it's their best. 'The Colour & The Shape' is WELL overrated...

Definitely
it was all downhill from there.
'Exhausted' is a superb way to end a fuzz rock album, still one of my favourite closing tracks. Some good singles too.
coincidentally
I listened to Exhausted the other day, for some reason just fancied hearing it. I love it, its such a perfect finish to the album. That section where the feedback just remains buzzing away is really pretty.....
Totally agree
such a shame to see them go from that to the piffle they do today...
....
Am I the only one who rates Disc 1 of In Your Honour?
Probably, yes...
Sounded more like Sum 41
i like it more
than one by one
YES.
unless you like safe boring stadium ballad rock
the Pocketwatch album?
yeah, i preferred their earlier stuff
They'd have a great best-of compilation
I find their albums a bit tedious to listen to all the way through though.
on a par with Colour and the Shape
I'll Stick Around is my fave on it. Even more impressive an album considering it was all Big Dave. Exhausted is a great closer too.
I think One by One is the best post Colour and Shape Foos record by far, underrated.
I ONLY play a few select tracks from each of the first four albums.
More often than not one or all of the first 3 actually.
I think the first two or three tracks off each are great.
it's the only one
i can still listen to all the way through in a single sitting.

watershed: best song ever? yes.
Overated?
No. Not at all.
Colour and the Shape is one of the best guitar-pop albums ever made. Every song is a finley crafted piece of genius.
My theory is that Grohl pissed all of his creativity on that album, hence why everything thats been released since have been horrible watered down shells of the band that once was.
i got my copy signed
when they played their first uk tour for this album :)
Yep.
The whole album is excellent. I <3 'Good Grief.'
And Floaty as well
such an excellent song!
yeah, 'floaty' is brilliant
as are 'alone + easy target', 'i'll stick around' et al.
personally, i think 'there is nothing left to lose' is unfairly maligned. great pop album i reckon. does this meet with agreeance or torches and pitchforks?
Stacked Actors
:)
Big Me
is their best music video as well
'Good Grief'
is on this one isnt it?
