Who's all going to the parade tommorrow?

But on Sunday. ;)

I think I'm maybe more excited about having some tasty food and sampling nice oils from Demi John like I did last year. I hope the weather holds out.

Yeah, I like all the wee stalls. Lovely grub and I got some nice jewellery last year.

They have a 'Mardi Gras' parade type thing which goes through Byres Road

and there's stalls and all that kind of stuff.

Then there are lots of 'cultural events' over the next two weeks in conjunction with the festival, art exhibitions, gigs, shows/plays, etc.

i'm not interested in Mardi Gras,

i think i'll go to the cinema instead.

I live really nearby but manage to be away every time it's on, so never experience it. Looks like this year won't be breaking the trend.

I found it to be full of neds last year....

couple of good wee gigs right enough. And as young turk mentioned any excuse to go into demijohn and sample some of their delights is always good.

And you hopefully get to see lots of women dressed in Brazilian carnival style outfits shaking their thing. Admittedly, some look better than others.

I'm hoping

it doesn't rain, because it will be miserable if it does.
Should be a good day. The Halt bar are also doing a free three-day festival starting today with quite a few interesting bands so am going to try and head there too and see who I can see.

yes!! the line-up and times have been announced for the Halt Bar Hijack

i recommend people get along to that. there is LOADS on this weekend. i totally forgot about the parade. that's yet another thing to add to the list.

The Halt Bar Hijack on Sat to check out a couple of local bands, should be a good weekend ahead. Errors tonight after Holland - France looking good.
