One of the greatest groups of the last twenty years. Kranky, as a label, would not be the same without this band.
Mi Media Naranja is brilliant, "WR" is so so beautiful. Everything else is great as well.
new album, please!
It's very different, has singing on it and stuff. Still absolute genius though, well worth checking out.
that's not as good as the previous two. Give Mi Media Naranja or E Luxo So a try.
Mi Media Naranja is sublime, and I love E Luxo So but I don't think they've put out anything that wasn't completely immersive and captivating.
Have Mi Media Naranja and E Luxo So. Saw them at Colchester Arts Centre once...one of my favourite gigs ever.
A Stable Reference yet. The album that got me into them, and still a fine record. More song-based than the later stuff, but utterly fantastic. Remember seeing them live in 98 with Stars of the Lid supporting and being (gently) blown away.
and that sounds like the greatest line-up
in CD exchange, tis a great album. I'd had it via download for a few years, but never seen it around really.
Good stuff, as are Rothko (similarish vein)
It's a collaboration between Adam Wiltzie from Stars Of The Lid and Bobby Donne from Labradford. I love that album. http://www.kranky.net/artists/aixemklemm.html
that's lovely stuff. A perfect combo of Ladbradford and SOTL...
Mark Nelson's current solo project. He's been top of my last.fm charts forever. 360 Business/360 Bypass and Quiet City are awesome records.
