their first album is a bit similar to the locust.canada songs its called

Orthrelm and Psyopus might well float your boat.

trencher are a bit like the locust but with less sass.
tigers! are a band from leeds who did one great 7" which is worth tracking down.

a lot of the other bands that jp from the locust was in sound like the locust. apart from the swing kids (who are better then the locust) and struggle who i think are a hardcore band.

for bands that sound like DEP get a copy of "we are the romans" by botch. then give up listening to any tech hardcore metal stuff because it's better than everything else.

...and Mass Movement Of The Moth are good bets if you like all things Locust (although MMOTM's earlier EPs are far more "spazzy" than the album).

Holy Molar

They remind me of The Locust, although they don't actually sound that similar.

Slightly more punky but chaotic and brilliant.

I dont get why The Plot to Blow Up The Eiffel Tower have been mentioned so much. They sound nothing at all like either band.
