Score draw

just listen to the Wedding Present's cracking version of 'I Found That Essence Rare'.

and then cinerama

piss on anything left over?

i have heard one song by each band off a john peel cd

it's "everyone thinks he looks daft" by wedding present vs a song i can't even remember by gang of four.

Evidently, wedding present win. I really wanna get George Best when I have money.

Great choice of album......

look out for the remastered version with extra songs on it.

Bizarro and Seamonsters are also essential.

i'd add Take Fountain

and Disco Volante by Cinerama in there as well.

also

the wedding present are doing a CHRISTMAS TOUR! if this isn't brilliant enough, the london date is at the forum, which is a five minute walk from where i currently live!

david gedge for PM :D

Gedge over the gang any day

I like Gang Of Four and all, but The Wedding Present just have so many good songs - Bizarro and Seamonsters are pure classics. The new one, El Rey, is pretty damn good actually, really grown on me in the last few days.

GANG OF FOUR

CONTROW VERSH AL

DiS is fucking wrong.

I like Bizarro and Seamonsters

But Entertainment! is completely league of its own. The only reason the rest of their catalogue is disregarded is because of how awesome that record is.

Another vote for Gang Of Four

Though I prefer Solid Gold to Entertainment! Paralysed, If I Could Keep it for Myself, etc the whole album is crawling with paranoia.

Am I the only one who thinks Watusi is their best record?

Anyways... The Wedding Present> Gang of Four

Watusi is fantastic!

Click Click, Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah, Spangle, It's a Gas.. so many great songs. It is criminal that it is so hard to get hold of these days. Clearly a reissue is in order.

ha!

Gang of Four by a million miles.

Ha!

Gang of Four by a million miles.

whoops

sorry, double post :(

Lost your love of life

too much apple pie

Gang of Four for me.

'entertainment' still sounds good. The Weddoes just sound dated and a bit shit.
